Night of Passionate Praise

This will be a full blown worship experience. It is a special night of praise and worship. Come prepared and expecting to experience the presence of the Almighty One! The Edge Band will be leading us into His anointing. The only thing on the agenda for this night will be to Passionately Praise God.

If you live within driving distance of Jackson, you are invited to a night of passionate praise at Love and Truth Church tonight at 7:00. You wll not leave the same way you came in!

Re: Night of Passionate Praise

I'm so glad you're coming! I figured you and several of the Savannah bunch would. We are excited that people from Cordova, Corinth, and Henderson are coming too. Renda will be there!!! We even have people coming from Illinois, from the church where we ordained the pastor last year. It will be a great night (and free munchies afterwards!).

We are turning Chris Smith loose to preach the last fifteen minutes. They are living in the Elisha House; can't wait to hear him! He is as passionate about reaching people as Parrish is about leading worship.

Can't wait!

Re: Night of Passionate Praise

I think they're bringing a van from Savannah, but we'll drive. Jon doesn't care anything about riding a van anytime, but especially not now with him hurting so badly. I didn't know if he would feel like it, but he wants to come.

You'll have to sit on the front if you want to sit by me! Of course, you like the front row anyway, so that won't bother you.:party

Tonight will pretty much be guitar-driven rock style worship. Not for the faint at heart, but very passionate and intimate. There will be fast and slow stuff, and our Edge worship leader is one of the most passionate worship leaders I've ever seen. He loves the Lord and you can feel it with every note he sings.

I keep reading the thread title and thinking, can I really participate, then I focus in on the word praise.:reaction

Headed out the door to head to Jackson!

Give us a report after it is over!

Eddie & Sherri need to start webcasting their services and special events! They already have the TV equipment so it would not be a giant leap.

Just arrived at church. Will report in later!

Re: Night of Passionate Praise

I tried to work things out where I could go... but it was such short notice. I told Tammy that if she'd get me more notice next time, I'd go to a church service with her as long as it's not during my regular church service times. Besides... she's gonna go to my church with me on friend day--and hopefully to at least ONE night of revival in a couple of weeks whether she knows it yet or not. :D

When I saw the name of the service I thought maybe it was part of a Marriage Conference.

Re: Night of Passionate Praise

Just got home from church and eating with Renda and some other friends. The service was awesome!! Parrish did a great job leading worship and then the guy who preached was just phenomenal. We had never heard him, but had only heard him get up and pray a few weeks ago. That was so passionate, that we figured he would be a fireball preacher.

They are from this area originally and God delivered him from a life of drugs and who knows what else several years ago and filled him with the Holy Ghost. He was immediately put up to preach in the church/denomination he was in, right after being saved. He eventually moved to another state to be on staff, and nothing turned out as promised. They lived in abject poverty, trying to raise three kids. It was a bad situation and they got so wounded that they came back to this area after three or four years and just got secular jobs. We invited them to live in the Elisha House last year to be restored and God has just beautifully set them on fire again. This was the first time he had preached in probably a year.

She and Jon got there a little late and we had already started, so I didn't get a chance to talk to them but I saw them there. Eddie said he talked to them in the fellowship hall after church, but I never saw them back there either! Eddie is preaching at their church Sun. morning though, so I guess we'll catch up then.

I'm not surprised at her being late. LOL Tammy and I have met up for several things... and I recall ONCE that she was ON TIME-- and that was when we met them at Ryans in Corinth for dinner. :D

Just got home - - we had to drive the hour this time, but it was well worth it!

I really enjoyed the service and got to see Tamor and Darcie! The band was great, but my favorite part was the fireball speaker - - - he was ANNOINTED with all caps!!!!

Enjoyed some good Italian food with leftovers for tomorrow!

Sherri, it spit snow on us coming home! Glad we came!

I got to meet Darcie. She is adorable! We had a good talk and laugh comparing our hubbies - their names being the same, and other similiarities that we got a chuckle out of. Now I can't wait to meet her hubby and get to know them.
