Wow. I didn't know the admin team around here had changed that much. I've dropped in here and there, but I haven't really kept up on what all has been going on around here for the last couple of months. Where did all the conservatives go?

The Admin team contains conservatives.......I find it pleasantly balanced in favor of the moderates and I am so happy we finally took over :ursofunny

In lifestyle, the Hoover family is considered conservative even by our own church.

Our views/practice of the following are very conservative:
Marriage,
Traditional roles,
TV consumption,
Education,
Politics,
Abortion,
Dress and jewelry
Family values

Admittedly I am not much into judging other Christians - be that in regards to their Christian Disciplines or their rejection of OP (three step) theology - in this I am considered a liberal. But in most practical lifestyle issues I am conservative.

Peace out dude - There are many very conservative Christians who are both Pentecostal and non-Pentecostal.

The Cons who insist on specifics to ensure and affirm their exclusivity as the body of Christ are the anomaly. Why is showing tolerance "odd" regardless of lifestyle disciplines?

I mean no disrespect toward the new admin team, but I do not think any of them would be considered conservative by a conservative. And SH is PCI in believe. This alone disqualifies him as a true conservative.

Why don't we look back at the first post that proclaimed that there were conservatives on the admin team.


It is YOU that are attempting to present the admin team as having conservatives when questioned. Obviously, some do not believe there are any, as several have asked about it.

btw - I don't remember posting that the forum HAD to be conservative to be successful. It can be quite liberal, and be successful. It just will have to cater to a liberal crowd. But don't play everyone as ignorant in your attempts to paint this a "balanced" forum. The conservative voice is now down to a low whisper here. Again, not a bad thing. But truth non-the-less.

Duh...it was ME that said there are conservatives on the admin team. I admit it...wow, score one for the peanuts. But the bolded part just reminds me of what a lot of Ultra conservatives are like...they look down their noses at others that don't agree with them on something, no matter HOW conservative they are, and decree that that person is not in fact a "true" conservative.

And if you are worried about the admin team not having conservatives on it maybe YOU......oh never mind. :runhills

And then what? Does Rico or you really know the pedigree of every Admin as to whether they are conservative or not? What measuring stick to you use to judge whether someone is a true conservative? Maybe a True Conservative bashes liberal preachers and any Trinitarian preacher then cries fowl when one of their own is bashed?

Or maybe a TRUE Conservative decides that if someone does not agree with long sleeves they must be a liberal...never mind that they are conservative on everything else.

Take Hoover...he has to be one of the most conservative people on this board when it comes to his christianinty in practice....but because he is PCI in his view of Acts 2:38 he is a liberal?

or maybe a Conservative is someone that listens to someone say they believe salvation preceeds water baptism but that a person still NEEDS to be baptized in jesus name in obedience to the word and then accuses that person of saying we can be saved WITHOUT repenting?

Or maybe a true conservative is anyone that left the forum stomping their feet on the way muttering how this forum is going hoooooorribly wrong. That might be it....True Conservatives cut and run. True Conservatives duck and hide. True Conservatives just want a forum for True conservatives only? IS that what makes a True Conservative? Then I guess if that is the case most of us are not TRUE Conservatives then...

Let the witch hunt begin. All the people that believe only THEY are the TRUE conservatives can form a caucus and black ball people like SH who are probably just as consistant in their life style as any one else who claims to be conservative but because he is a PCIer in soteriolgy that makes him not a TRUE conservative? Good grief Charlie Brown...you guys have cornered the market on what is a TRUE conservative. I am surprised soeone has not tried to copywrite that word so you can file a lawsuit against any OP that dares claim to be conservative.:tantrum

I don't recall anyone saying you said the forum HAD to be anything to be successful. But from all observation it seems that the INTENT was to have a conservative forum or nothing at all.

The admin team is balanced. What ever the FORUM is is what ever YOU make it, but sadly many cons ran away and THEN whined about the forum not being balanced.
