AtlantaBishop & Stephen Hoover in ATL
1 Attachment(s)
God bless all you Apostolic Friends!
I had a great visit with Stephen Hoover this week. He came to Atlanta for a convention and called and I picked him up and we ate at Fogo de Chao in Buckhead and it was INCREDIBLE! Thanks Steve for the great lunch! I took him on a tour of ATL then had Starbucks. What a great guy! Some of you did see my wife and I on TBN this past Tuesday night and yes - CeCe was the gracious host. I am looking forward to being with her at VICTORY CHURCH here in Stone Mt. in March. I do appreciate the calls and IM's and Emails - but I have been much to busy to post on any site the past few months. Church Alive International has trippled in growth in the past few months and God is doing Great Things there so I have my hands full. Thank you for your prayers and concern. Bless you all. On a more serious note... I met several Amishmen in Atlanta, getting educated, displaying wares and staying in the highrise hotels like everyone else. It is interesting to watch. I like to sit close to them and listen in on the Penn. Dutch for a while before introducing myself in their preferred language. They really light up then...:ursofunny:ursofunny:ursofunny |
Re: AtlantaBishop & Stephen Hoover in ATL
I am happy your church is growing, just keep MARIE in the TRAVEL business! lol

Re: AtlantaBishop & Stephen Hoover in ATL
Did anyone catch the full page spread of the amish fireplace in the USA Today last week? (Thurs of Fri, I can't remember.) The photo showed a snake oil looking salesman shaking hands with an amish guy. There were a number of amish people in the photo. Only one amish had enough conviction to turn his back. (wpf apologists take notice there are people with consistent convictions.)
The funniest part of the advertisement was a blurb that said the technology for the new fireplace came from China. I found the ad amusing. I have no desire to buy an amish fireplace unless I move to Amish country. |

It was NOT an ad, but just an interesting story. The "snake oil" looking guy was from Underwriters Labortory and the interesting part was that the Amish went to the expense to get these Electric fireplaces/Mantels UL Listed when they themselves claim not to have electricity! The catch is.... they can have electricity in their place of business IF it is not off the power grid :ursofunny - they just crank up a generator! |

I think it is so childish and extremely spiritually immature of those who try to run everyone else's lives - without the FACTS! The Control Freaks still try to control! Nothing has changed! 1. Victory is not a "homosexual church". It is a very large (several thousand) church that does not turn away nor degrade people that struggle in life. It is basically a baptist church and many members are filled with the Holy Ghost. 2. As far as I know- Cece is not scheduled to sing there and if she was - I would go to hear her at Victory, but I would not go to a "homosexual church" to hear anybody! 3. It amazes me that the entire Apostolic movement was impacted musically by ONE MAN that had struggles and to this day his music is the norm in UPC and Apostolic Churches. 4. I wonder about people that every time the homosexual topic comes up - they jump in - screaming & fighting - makes me wonder what they are struggling with. 5. I wrote that about CeCe to see who would take a bite - hmmmmmmmmmmm TAG - YOUR IT! 6. This forum is the same as when I started posting and when I stopped several months ago. Full of depressed people that struggle with issues -yet condemn everyone else that does not hide their sin well. |

Re: AtlantaBishop & Stephen Hoover in ATL
Hey Friend - That makes TWO of us that are not struggling! LOL
We received 20 new members in on Sunday and one family was an A/G Pastor and his family that are loving CAI! Good things are happening in Atlanta! |
Re: AtlantaBishop & Stephen Hoover in ATL
Make that three of us. Congrats on the success @ your church.

Indeed, Victory Church is not a "gay church" per se, but is a church that preaches acceptance of gay men and lesbians. Theres a big difference between a church "not turning away or degrading people that struggle in life" ... and a church that teaches acceptance of homosexuals as part of the church body with no need to repent or change. From how I see it, its one thing for someone to be formerly gay, know its wrong, and perhaps be stuggling to put aside his homosexual inclinations. That would be "stuggling" with the issue. Its another thing to declare oneself a "gay Christian" and feel that gay sex is not a sin, etc. That isn't struggle. That is just delusion, and rebellion against the Word of God. In particular, Kenneth Samuels, (pastor of Victory Church) is a known and outspoken advocate of accepting so called "gay Christians" (or "same-gender loving persons" as he at times calls them). He doesnt preach/teach that homosexuality is a sin. He preaches acceptance of homosexuals as they are, with no need for them to change their lifestyle. Lets look at the bottom line here. Victory Church doesn't simply "not turn away those who struggle" with homosexuality. They practically embrace and encourage those who are in that lifestyle, to come to their church (with their gay lovers if possible) and feel accepted in the body of Christ. And "Pastor" Kenneth L Samuels has been known to employ some of the same "gay theology" arguments that have been used by the gay church movement for decades. That is deception and perversion, plain and simple. |
