If I had to take an educated guess I would say he has made another list and most of us are on it... :tissue

If he is looking at his home church he will have better luck looking for a dark faced nappy haired woman!!!:gaga

I have a feeling whether the girl was pale faced or dark he would not pick one with no natural beauty!

I thought you said ALL UPC women lack natural beauty and need makeup.

Naw, just the ugly ones. The pretty ones just need to cut their hair and put on some pants. Some them ugly guys need to put on some makeup too and the bald ones need to get toupes and the fat ones need to wear all black instead of tieing their ties longer and longer so that they hang to their knees when they slouch in the platform chairs. And everybody needs to color their hair. :gaga

Men like women with long hair.

Thanks for mentioning the bald, fat ugly guys. I agree - stop lengthening the tie - it is not helping you!

I don't need to color my hair! Nope, never gonna do it! I hate hair coloring!

Everybody realizes I was just making a funny right? Well, mostly.

I don't mind the hair coloring just as long as it makes sense. Blond hair and black eyebrows just don't make sense to me. Or really pale people getting jet black hair. It's kind of like spandex shorts; just because you can fit into them doesn't mean it looks good. I don't know, you just gotta be smart about it.

Yes, I knew you were joking. When my blonde hair started turning a little darker I dyed it until I was 26. Not doing that again. I hate hair dye. It's too much trouble and it doesn't make your hair feel soft.

There is an older man that is a door greeter at one of our local grocery store chains. The pasty skin and dark jet black hair. He looks horrible and doesn't even know it. :ursofunny

My husband's hair started turning grey when he was young. It's totally grey now. I really like it.

Re: Where is St. Mark? No Limits Conference?

Haha. That's funny. Old guys crack me up. We have one who works at the Kaiser clinic in town. His toupe literally looks like a scrap from a carpet store. It's pathetic. Poor guy. The weird thing is that he's pretty self-concious about it. One time my wife and I were sitting nearby and were looking and smiling about a lady and her kid who happened to be on the far side of where he was sitting. I think he thought we were laughing at him because he moved over behind a large placard so we couldn't see him. We felt really bad.

I've planning to do something w/my hair real soon. I've been cutting it pretty short he last few years and am growing it out so that I can get a cool style and some color. Call it a mid-life crisis. Whatever. I'm just bored I think.

I think gray is cool when it's all gray. George Clooney and Richard Greer (sp?) seem to pull it off ok.

You will never find a post where I said "all". In fact I have pointed out how at every conference or big church there are a handful of natural beauties with that perfect complexion, dark long eyelashes, red lips, etc that make the contrast even greater with the vast majority who could use a little makeup. That is not just in Pentecost but something that holds true in the general public. A judicous use of makeup makes 97.5% of women look miuch better (unless you are some OP guys who will now post on here how you love your wifes zits glowing their glory for God and how wonderful it is your wife doesn't have a "mask" LOL!!!)

You are being silly. Of couse husbands love their wife with all of her imperfections. That is not what this is about and you know it.

You are trying to make the discussion silly. It is about making yourself look the best you can. Pentecostal women a lot of times take a lot of time and effort to do so in every other way than a little makeup or jewelry. In fact many seem to overcompensate for not being able to wear makeup and jewelry by going overboard and over dressing. Elaborate dresses, shoes, other "approved" adornments (see Ruth Reider and sub heading "giant feather").

Your silliness is like when Mark Bassett would try to argue with as straight face that a woman shouldn't wear makeup because it was a "mask".

No. It is the truth. If one wants to discuss the biblical stance on makeup and jewelry that is fine but to suggest that those of us who believe there is no biblical injunction against it and that it is a good thing to do in the every day process of looking ones best are somehow suggesting men don't love their wives without makeup on is just silly.

How does jewelry make someone look their best. I hate jewelry. I've never liked to wear it.

Sure, I agree on the base. I use base, but anything else makes me look and feel old. I don't like it.

LOL!!! You sure took long enough to let it out. I do think SOME OP women look pretty pitiful but then so do a lot of secular women. I saw some OP's just this past weekend at Wally World. A couple of sweet young teenage girls with long stringy hair to their calfs with the last six inches with horrible split ends. Long jean skirts with white socks and tennis shoes. In other words the Wal Mart shopping uniform for OP women.

The whole idea of wearing makeup is to look like you're not wearing any. If applied right it enhances a woman's complexion.

Yup. Most conservatives arguement against it use Tammy Faye Bakker and Jan Crouch as examples of makeup and I have never personally met a woman who wanted to look like that! That example is like saying every man who wants to play the piano wants to dress like Liberace.:ursofunny

Yes, I did take a long time and everytime I saw your User name - I wanted to jump you in a dark alley and beat you with an ugly stick.

I could go along with you on that, but I see such horrible trashy unsaved women every time I go to town. Those girls only looked bad to you. lol

But, to be honest, I agree that the women need to take more care. I never wear my hair slicked back and I never wear a blue jean skirt unless I need to run outside and I have one that buttons up the front and is easy to grab and put it on.

My best friend's husband came to the hospital to visit me and the first thing he said when he walked in was he understands now why I left UPC. He was just messing with me for looking a bit post-surgery. It did make me laugh though!

I wear very little makeup, but nothing looks worse than post-surgery when your hair hasn't been washed in a couple days and there's no natural color in your face!

With friends like this guy, who needs enemies to keep me humble!

I love some ladies with the slick... I only wish I had the right hairline for it.. it can be very sharp if done right... and I like my jeanskirts as well, although I don't wear them every day. There is absolutely not difference in the lady who wears a jeanskirt most of the time and the lady who wears the jeans... as far as style goes.

Before my children I worked in an office where I dressed in business attire everyday and you could stack me up against any of them and you'd find I was the one who put the most care into looking decent.

Sorry CC1... I know you're half joking but also half serious. And someday God might have a few words for you over the way you've criticised some ladies. Just maybe. You don't catch me talking about how bad the woman look who have their makeup caked to their faces... Sometimes when you show respect it gets you further.

Carry on.

It's not the business attire that's a problem. Skirts generally aren't casual wear, and don't fit with tennis shoes or many sport type activities (skiing comes to mind).

Well, fact is, I never debate the way I dress or why I dress that way.
I just don't care for the way some folks portray us "plain faced" women.
