Effort to hide homosexual indoctrination uncovered in IL school

Concerned Women for America is blasting an Illinois high school for urging students not to tell their parents about its mandatory homosexual indoctrination program.
Deerfield High School in Chicago has a class called "Freshman Advisory," in which ninth-graders are required to attend a panel discussion led by the Gay-Straight Alliance Network. The panel features homosexual upperclassmen telling students about their sexual experiences.

This year, students were required to sign a confidentiality agreement saying they would not tell anyone about the discussions, including their parents. Matt Barber, policy director for cultural issues at Concerned Women for America (CWA), says school officials showed complete disregard for the rights of parents and students who believe homosexuality is immoral.

"This is just another example of activists within our public government schools -- homosexual activists -- circumventing parental authority, parents rights, in order to indoctrinate impressionable young children. They know the propaganda all too well," Barber asserts. "You get hold of the minds of these young people, and you spoon feed them your dogma and indoctrinate them," he says; "then you control the future, and you help to further the homosexual agenda."

Deerfield Superintendent Dr. George Fornero says the district "made a mistake" by requiring the students to sign the confidentiality agreement.
However, Barber feels the damage has already been done. He calls the district's actions "a shocking and brazen governmental abuse of parental rights," which is also detrimental to the children.

"They're exposing these kids to information and encouraging them, essentially, to participate in a lifestyle that places them at extremely high risk for disease," the CWA spokesman asserts. "And the fact that they have circumvented parental authority and essentially instructed these kids to lie to their parents tells you just how sinister this homosexual agenda is," he adds.

A group of parents recently took out an ad in the local Deerfield Review newspaper condemning Deerfield High School's "Freshman Advisory" and demanding answers about the homosexual indoctrination program.

While I don't take anything seriously that comes from such Christian Nationalist groups as Concerned Women For America, I'd say that if this really is happening that it's another reason for Christians to pull their kids out of these government indoctrination centers and educate them at home.

Chancellor,
It does report that some concerned parents took out an ad in the local paper on the issue, so I took it as fact.

You are right. We need to get our kids out of there, but like "Dear Ann" said, "You'd have parents beating down the doors if they closed because they are too busy to take care of their own children."

We have blended families, one parent families, etc. It's hard on the children and hard on the parents. Many could sacrifice money, as we did, to educate your children.

Welcome to the New World Order!
It ain't just in "Socialist" Canada, but it is every where.

I am afraid "In God We Trust" and "Having The Ten Commandments" in Congress is going to stop it.

Yep, the Devil has an agenda and he is working hard to fulfill it.

Im more afraid Christians are having a "let's circle the wagons and wait for them to come slaughter us" mentality.

In a recent case a judge ruled against a Christian family and said if they wanted it differently they needed to elect a majority that were like them to the school board, or go to a private school....

But this is just not about how it is effecting us. This is Satans attempt to not only wipe out the Church by brainwashing the next generation it's about brainwashing those that aren't in the church to make it harder to reach them.

We don't live in Rome. This is still a democracy and we can still do more than wait to be tossed to the lions

I agree, but corruption and this evil thinking is more widespread then some may imagine.

I don't want to lay down believe you me!
But I do agree most are asleep at the wheel to what is really going on.

Which is why, more than ever, people that claim to be Christians need to be more active in local and national politics

If the ad was taken out because Concerned Women for America "reported" something and suggested that action, I can't take it as fact. I've read a lot of reports from Christian Nationalist groups about all these things supposedly going on in public schools but most of these things have never once been verified either by independent sources or by people who are actually in favor of the action being opposed.

Well, maybe letting these parents flounder would give them the kick in the pants they need to start taking care of their own children.

Yes, it would be a sacrifice but it would be worth it. Of course, there's no reason why a group of parents couldn't get together and jointly educate these kids.

Yes, and everything is falling into place just as it needs to for the rise of the Antichrist.

All the more reason why we need to stop trying to fight "the culture war" and get out there and fight the battle for souls.

I disagree. Earthly nations are not OUR nation. Earthly cultures are not OUR culture. We're here as ambassadors sent by God to communicate one message: be reconciled to God.

Not one soul will ever be saved by Christians taking over governments and social institutions.

The judge was partly right and Christians need to take their kids out of these government indoctrination centers.

But if we took our kids out of these government indoctrination centers, Satan wouldn't be able to use the government to brainwash them. I don't agree that it would be harder to reach the other kids, I think that the greater contrast there is between the Church (the light) and the world (the darkness), the easier it will be to show the world its lost state. Besides, whether anyone actually responds to the gospel is not the responsibility of the Church but, instead, is the responsibility of God. Paul said that he planted and Apollos watered but it was God who gave the increase. Also, Jesus said that all those whom the Father has given to Him WILL come to Him. Our job is to go into all the world with the gospel. Whether or not people respond to the gospel call is God's responsibility.

Well, no, it's not a democracy, it's a republic - just like Rome had been before the Caesars became powerful. But, yes, we can do more - just as the first century Church did more than just wait to be tossed to the lions - we can be the light shining in the darkness.

I think that you are right.

We will hinder, but our hindering will be in the Spirit, rather than in the flesh.

Perhaps if we spent more time on our faces in prayer rooms we might see things change.
