Re: Starting Nutri-System!!
I would love to do Nutri-System. The hardest issue is having the time to cook healthy and it seems that a system like that might be the ticket.
But... alas...being on Nutri-System would require that I have a much higher financial system. :) I hope the two of you do very well and that you enjoy it along the way. Let us know what you think about the food and if the selection is sufficient to keep things out of the boring zone. |
Re: Starting Nutri-System!!
I've never been on any weight loss system as they are all not recommended for long term goals. And that should be to remain at a healthy weight for life. Myself, I'm a semi-vegetarian and since I quit eating meat at every meal, I have not had to worry about diets, losing weight or keeping the weight off. I've naturally settled into a healthy weight and I've pretty much stayed there (+ or - about 5 lbs) Gotta love the plants that God gave us to consume.
Psalm 104:14 KJV He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth; Psalm 104:14 New Life Version He makes the grass grow for the cattle, and plants for man to use. So He may bring food from the earth, |

I was house sittin last summer. Pantry full of Nutri-system meals. Some are pretty good, the others, taste bad.. and they are all loaded with sodium.

http://www.topdietreview.com/ Another link as FYI...I'm not saying I agree with these reviews as I have never tried Nutri System: http://www.diet.com/review/show_prod...2d9fc814b10b78 I do agree that overall Weight Watchers has been the most reliable way to lose weight for many people. If you embrace the Weight Watcher's philosophy of eating right and portion size, you change your lifestyle. http://www.aa-lose-weight-loss-diet-...trisystem.html |

Sandra, I don't know how you do this with your travel schedule. The hardest part of dieting to me is that we eat out so much and travel way too much! What do you do when people take you out to eat? Just refuse?

After we returned home, we couldn't wait to weigh, but really didn't feel thinner. We both weighed the SAME. We lost nothing.:tantrum:tantrum:tantrum:tantrum:tantrum |

Good luck Vicki! Any diet will work if you stick with it and have the want to:). I joined LA Fitness and have lost inches but gained in muscle mass. I am trying to eat right and exercise more. Age, metabolism, and heredity play an important part in our size...unfortunately.

Re: Starting Nutri-System!!
Weight Watchers and the associated accountability is working for me. Working well, actually.
It's less expensive than buying ALL your food from some diet company, plus it teaches you to eat better so you are less likely to blow up when you go 'off plan' after you hit your goal. |
