Daniel Alicea Debuts
 
My oldest daughter and I were privileged to attend four services today in four different churches.

The last was the first ever sermon preached at Gloryland's new Spanish ministry, and the preacher was none other than Dan.

The multi-talented minister also lead song service and turns out has an amazing singing voice!!

While my abilities in the Mexican language (lo siento Danielito, no puedo resistir) are not to the level I got every single word, I did get the theme.

An excellent sermon reconciling the apparent contradictions between "there will be nothing special about His appearance" with "He is the fairest among the Sons of Men".

It was not Christ's physical attributes which made him attractive to the people it was the content of His speech and the authority of His words.

A great start to a brand new ministry, and a new chapter in Dan's life!!!

Sounds like he has many new chapters in his life beginning. He's an awesome man of God and the trials he has went through are nothing compared to the blessings coming his way! Wish I could have been there to hear him preach!

Did not take pics this time, but I will say he looked more like a prophet than I have ever seen him!!!

Not only is Dan a good singer, he plays the sax, AND he's an awesome song writer!
His Church in N.Y. was known for having the absolute BEST music amongst Spanish UPC Churches...known as perfectionists (in a good way) always had the latest and greatest stuff going.

Congrats on the new congregation Dan, may God bless and prosper it.

Thank you guys for the kind words of encouragement.

... Little uncomfortable w/ the word "debuts" but that is altogether another issue.

Look what the Lord has done!!!

We are so thankful that God has allowed us to start a ministry for His Kingdom.

The service was smooth, succinct and visited by the manifest presence of the Almighty.

We even enjoyed some post-service fellowship w/ coffee, refreshments and croissants.

The group was no more than 11 ... but I know it's a start.

Regrettably, we had no unchurched folks but that's where we all come in.

Please pray for us ... for continued anointing, volition, boldness, unity and a bountiful harvest for His Kingdom.

*gasp* Got myself a patch of hair growing from the side of my face and chin.

I'm really keen on eating nut and honey granola bars nowadays too. Locusts, ugh.
