I love these guys! I actually had the opportunity and had a conversation with Ashely at St. Marks house.
Man, I am just so thrilled for these guys! I love that they are not ashamed to sing about Jesus on national TV-They rock! |

Re: Freddy Clark's Kids
I understand Bro.Clark pastors in North Carolina.
Yes those boys can pick, one of them is a awesome dobro player. |
Re: Freddy Clark's Kids
For that sound they really don't need a drummer and bass player, but yeah it would be nice lol

Re: Freddy Clark's Kids
Ok...he preached at Thad's church when I was there. It was good. From what I understand his oldest son was going to do a service but Thad's brother made him get a hair cut first :ursofunny

Re: Freddy Clark's Kids
To me their hair is not too long,I can see young guys wanting a full set of hair just not having a femine length of hair.

They are very talented!
I think their hair is a bit shaggy for my taste, but they still look like boys. :) A little length isn't so bad, especially on younger men. |
Re: Freddy Clark's Kids
Right a guy doesn't have to have a flattop but he isn't supposed to have long flowing tresses of hair.
Sorry I'm trying to hi-jack this thread, but everybody doesn't want a buzz cut like me. |

He is submitted to his elders in the UPC, although he will most likely never get licensed. He has a great ministry, and is the real deal when it comes to operating in the gifts of the Spirit. Go to one of his meetings if you get a chance! |
Re: Freddy Clark's Kids
I would love to attend one of Bro.Clark's meetings.
It seems several yrs.back I remember seeing The Freddy Clark family in my dad's Bluegrass unlimited magazines. There were quite alot of them in that group. |

His kids were taught to play music from as young as possible for up to one hour a day, every day. Freddie was always bluegrass style, and hence the style of the boys is rooted there. He'd line his kids up and have them testify and then sing. Freddie never was UPCI. Morton Bustard really opened him up to preach in many UPC churches in the USA. Freddie's dad was also a preacher. I heard him once in a UPC church. At least one of Freddie's parents were from Newfoundland, Canada, if I am not wrong. His father in law has been in Rocky Mount area for years. Joe Crandall. Crandall is a prophet of God as well. STRONG Oneness. And All VERY sensitive in the Spirit. |
Re: Freddy Clark's Kids
My first expereince with FC was back in 1989. He came to our church to preach a crusade. He preached LOOOOONNNNGGGGGG, but very good and he rrattled off scriptures one after another from memorization. Then he took just as much time ministering in the Gifts of the Spirit. He called me forward. I had never met him, never had a conversation with him. He asked me what the name "Mark" meant to me. That's my first name. He also spoke to me about back problems (I had worked at UPS at Bible school a few years prior and had injured my back) and sinus problems which I also suffered from, prayed for me and I was healed.
A few years later the entire family came and did a concert. Unbelievable! The next time I saw them was on television a few years later. The boys were featured on a show that the Oak Ridge Boys had for several years on the old TNN network. They would always have the Clark Family Experience end their program. I have a cousin who moved to Nashville with the hopes of making it in the music industry. She kind of dated one of the boys (I think the lead siger from the group that won the NGAB contest). She was disinterested at the time, she probably is kicking herself now. My uncle attends First UPC in Nashville, pastored by Ron Becton. Some of the boys go to church there also. The three in the Clark Boys do. He said they sit on the front row, they worship, they pray in the altar, they pray for people in the altar and they are very well liked and they are very respectful. He says they are very nice youmg men. I saw FC at BOTT this year and talked to him about the boys who won the contest. He said the lead singer is a great preacher and can operate in the Gifts of the Spirit much like he can. He is very proud of them and says all of his kids are very close to him and no matter where they are they stay in touch. He said the boys called him frequently when they were in LA for the NGAB. He says out of all of his children, his twin girls (the youngest) are the best singers. I imagine we will be hearing from them in the near future. |

Freddy Clark held a couple of revival/healing services at my old church. He would start off with Blue Grass Gospel music. ....I held the mic for him one time while he walked around and ministered in the gifts. That was Good times..... |

Ya know...before I came into Pentecost I hated bluegrass and country.....then when I came in I learned to tolerate it lol...
Seriously though these kids do a great job with bluegrass. There seem to be other elements in there which is probably what makes it appealing. His singing seems to be more bluesy |

Re: Freddy Clark's Kids
I’ve told this one before but it bares repeating.
I can’t prove the veracity of it but it is funny none the less! Once at GC, Freddy Clark stepped into an elevator that Allen Oggs was already on. As soon as the doors shut, bother Oggs says in that very distinct voice of his “Freddy Clark! Freddy Clark!” Brother Clark, not knowing Brother Oggs, replies: “I am sorry, it seems you know my name, what is yours?” Brother Oggs then says: “Oh no! YOU tell ME what my name is!” |

I still say a drummer would be nice....just for the sound. They seem good at keeping the tempo consistent and together... |

Re: Freddy Clark's Kids
These guys could use a bass player and a drummer with brushes.
I'd play bass with them. |
