I love hunting, killed my first deer in 2006, have hunted ducks, rabbits and pheasant. One day in the future I wish to go on a guided Elk Hunt but I need about 5k to do so.

I own a Glock 17, sold my shotgun and rifle due to needed money for stuff. But will eventually buy some a new rifle most like a 300 Mag and a Remington Shotgun for ducks and birds.

I guess we will find out when we move in a month or so but it is feared that we lost it in the last move.

Hopefully not though. I have had that gun for 30 years.

Actually... (leaning over to whisper to DT)...

My dad borrowed it from me about the time we moved into our previous house and I don't remember ever getting it back. He said he has looked but was going to look again. I never heard back from the secondary search.

I am thinking (or maybe hoping) that it might be in his attic.

That would be very good news.

We have one shotgun, that's all you need is one. It will get the job done. We have a lot of little ones around so no handguns.

I was given a 20 gauge by my uncle when I turned 12, I also bought a 30-30 pump at the same time. Since then I have collected a .38 colt, a 9mm Ruger semi auto which I hate, a 30-06 and a 12 gauge pump.

I love hunting. I love spending time in the woods. I love teaching my children about shooting, gun safety, and nature.

I've got a shotgun, a rifle, and a four-wheel-drive . . .
there's some other words and a .45 . . . :rockband

Let's see, I deer hunt with either a Ruger Super Blackhawk or a Benelli SBE2 with rifled slug barrel. An injury has forced me to give up archery. (I have a bow for sale) I squirrel hunt with a .22 rifle, a .22 pistol, or I have a Mossberg 500 combo shotgun with multiple chokes on the game barrel. The Mossberg also came with a rifled slug barrel with iron sights. I've never shot it with that barrel, but I keep it as a "loaner." The Mossberg 500 is also my dove & pheasant gun, even though it's a pump. :( I've got a Mossberg 590 named Cheney that I keep in a secure, undisclosed location. I've got a couple smaller handguns, and a few relic pieces that I inherited.

I keep EVERYTHING locked up.

The 223 packs an incredible whallop!!!! My son and I made a video shooting cantaloupes, and other fruit and completely disintegrated upon impact! It is amazing that a round that small can do that much damage.

Now I know what the DC snipers were doing to people. Incredible!!! :D

Let me tell you, sister, that when fruit turns on you it becomes plumb ornery. :guns :drawguns

It's best that there not be anything even resembling direct link between a religious group and enthusiasm for firearms. There's no quicker route to arriving on a watch list. :lol :lol :lol :lol

Re: Calling all gun owners

No guns in our house because none of my guys hunt. Keith would like to, but it's a matter of the time factor, you know.

But my brother raises pheasants and then for a price he places them for hunters so they can "hunt" them. I call that cheater-hunting, which makes him upset. LOL!! When he places a pheasant for a hunter, he also releases another so he is working at repopulating the pheasant population in our area.

He also raises lab puppies for sale if anyone is interested. Just had a batch of 10 puppies born 2 weeks ago. His dogs have all turned out to be great hunters.
