What Are Your Political Leanings-Really!

Here is a short Political Quiz meant to gauge your real Political leanings!

CENTRISTS espouse a "middle ground" regarding government

control of the economy and personal behavior. Depending on

the issue, they sometimes favor government intervention

and sometimes support individual freedom of choice.

I agree on personal freedoms but I am not so sure that we need to completely get rid of welfare and cut the budget by 50%. Yes, let’s cut welfare and the budget but cutting by 50% wouldn't be possible unless it was a very long term goal.

By the way, I am a God fearing, gun toting redneck. How in the world can I be classified as liberal? :tissue

LOL! Actually this test is weighted in a way that many Conservitives fall into the catagory of Libertarian. it is a libretarian website.

if you check that you believe in a draft, it scores more conservitive. that isnt something conservitives really believe.

but i AM somewhere on the boarderline between a liberatarian and a conservitive for sure.

Out of curiosity, I looked up the Liberatarian website to see some of what they stand for. Some of the things I found there I can agree with. I am not so sure about their stand on public assistance, however. I know our current system needs to be changed, but I don't think eliminating public assistance is the answer either.

It would definitely create more problems than it solves. It seems to me a better answer would be to make the focus of public assistance one more geared towards getting people educated and placed in jobs.

Berk, it may surprise you to find out that companies in America are begging for qualified applicants. Take manufacturing for example. Manufacturing in America has definitely gone high tech. Companies are struggling to find qualified people to fill the high tech manufacturing jobs available in this country. I read some articles a couple of years back that dealt with this issue. Some companies are having to place ads nationwide, offer relocation assistance, and other perks and bonuses just to get people to apply. There is also a severe shortage of qualified medical personnel in this country. Check out any hospital's website of open positions and you will see what I am talking about.

Our current drug laws create so many more problems than they solve that I don't even want to get started. Actually, I really can't think of any problems that they do solve.

I found it interesting that the pressure of so many convicted drug users is making it possible for violent offenders to be released much earlier than they should be. I don't think prison is the right place for drug users.
