Personalized Gifts

I am trying to decide whether are not to sell my Personalized Gifts business.

It is so hard to know what the public wants in doing gifts inadvance.

Any suggestions?

How large is your profit margin?

For my daughter's kitchen shower I just bought an apron - it's brown with pink polka dots and I'm having her initial monogrammed on the bib of the apron and giving that to her with a Kitchen Aid mixer and an all chocolate cookbook!!!!

As to keeping or selling - does it cost you anything to keep it? If not, keep it. A new business usually takes at least a year to see a good profit.

It is all paid for and was a huge investment!

I love the apron also.

My favorite kitchen gift is a personalized cutting board. They are so beautiful and can be displayed.

I have yet to do one for myself!

I usually give one as a wedding gift to very special friends with their date of their wedding and they names.

IF I could get their wedding picture before the wedding (haha) it would be nicer. :) But usually I give the gift to them at their shower.

But after getting ready to do one for a friend that broke up just before the wedding, I am afraid to any more inadvance.

It varies according to the items.

There is nothing more gratifying then getting an envelope with a hundred bucks & one's name on the envelope, is that what you mean?:hmmm

I understand modesty and all that but why would your daughter wear an apron in the shower.

And what part of the country do you live where they have showers in the kitchen?????

Now see this is what puts me out of business. :)

Well, I think so too, but she's my daughter and too young to be doing that kind of stuff just yet!

I'm about to give up on this place.

I thought personalized gifts had to do with laity and gifts of the spirit and people are talking about running around the kitchen wearing nothing but a apron.

I go to "presidential thread" and they are discussing vegetarianism and details of reproductive biology.

Thread titles are useless.

Oh the insanity !!!
