During my sons's tous in Iraq as a United States Marine at various times we would get to IM and it was the highlight of my day....well....actually usually night because of the time difference.

At one point I had an old computer hooked up in the bedroom on the dresser with the IM service on and the volume turned up high on the speakers.

Some mornings it would be 3am or 4 am when I would hear that computized door opening sound that let me know my son was online and I would drag myself out of bed to talk to him. When I heard that door I knew he was still alive and that was motivation to wake on up and talk to him no matter what time it was.

my daughter brought home this new home phone (nope its not a cell its an actual cordless phone w a base that plugs into the wall lol) and it has texting.. and all access to all the instant messengers... Oh Lord she loves it... her friend works for Vtech and gave it to her. I havent tried it yet but I guess there will be more Iming around here now LOL

It looks just like a cell phone built for texting

You all let me know how the new chat room goes. I wouldn't bother to go there. Why? Adkinson made it very clear that he didn't like me. I appreciated his honesty. Rev. Rutlege let it be known that he didn't want me around. I didn't bother to verify if it was true but nonetheless I tend to think so

I joined GNC before AFF. In fact, that forum was how I learned about AFF starting up last year. Once I joined AFF, I just didn't have the time to post on GNC anymore.

My heart really goes out to you that have found themselves battling two addictions...AFF and GNC. I don't know how you manage to have any semblance of a life outside of "forum" world.
