Bishop Garlington in the House tonight!!
 

We have Bishop Joseph Garlington from Pittsburgh at our church tonight. It starts in about 90 minutes, so I'm on my way. I can't wait!! He's one of my absolute favorite preachers.

Ok, does NO ONE on here know who this guy is???? It was the most amazing service; we just got home. He prayed over people and prophesied over some, and people were just laying all over the place before the Lord. Our Jr High youth pastor could not get up; he was so out in the Spirit. It was really a life changing time for so many of our people.

(We even had a few UPC preachers in the house tonight; God really ministered to them.)

About "declaring a thing" to come to pass. It was an awesome word. He can have you laughing one minute and then crying the next. He's such an awesome communicator.

He was raised in very strict Oneness Pentecostalism (PAW, I think). God did a real work in his life during the Toronto revival, stripping him of any pride and dignity, and showing Himself real. He is such a powerhouse now, even though he was always good.

He is a great man and his very sensitive to the voice of God.

By the way, John & Kristin Ragsdale were here also last night, and he prayed and prophesied over my son Zac. It was so powerful.

We had ten that I counted from the new church in Cordova. It was a stretch for some, but I think everyone ended up loving it. It was even a stretch for some of our Jackson people who are generally Sunday morning-only people. They were introduced to a whole new level of the power of God!!

I don't know Bishop Garlington but I know of him.
I've heard a couple of his tapes years ago.
He was in the Cincinnati area back in the late nineteen nineties to ordain elders and deacons in a newly established church here.

Love the Ragsdales and love Bishop Garlington. I have acutally not heard either of them in person but I have Rags' Cd and heard Bishop preach alot over the years. Bishop is certainly used greatly of God.

Did Bishop bring his keyboardist?....that's always awesome the way the guy keeps playing all the way through the sermon...even changing the tempo and sounds to set and reset the mood....

I wasn't able to be there, but Sunday they were talking about the service and he did have his keyboardist with him - made me wish all the more I could have been there!

It was an AMAZING service. I cried thru most of his sermon except for the moments of laughter. Bishop Garlington is really funny. His demeanor reminded me so much of my dad, very soft spoken. Our church folks are already seeing the effects take place in their lives after we declared some things on Friday.

He's preaching at Jeff Butler's conference the first week in October (starting like the 6th?) - we are planning on going. You should show up; it'll be awesome. I think John Ragsdale is doing a service too. Usually Tudor Bismarck preaches, but I don't think he's coming this year.

I don't know if he allows that or not. We did video the service and tape it, but I don't know if we can make it available online. I'll find out.
