James Bond movies and actors who play him
 

I luv spy movies and James Bond is my favorite. The other day while at Wal-mart I saw a JB dvd for super cheap so I bought it. I knew I'd seen it, right? since I've seen them all, but alas, I was wrong. It was "The Spy Who Loved Me" and I hadn't seen it, shock shock shock.

Now, the real reason I started this thread is....who is your fave actor to play JB? Mine is Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan and Timothy Dalton. Don't care for the new guy at all.

I don't have a favorite JB movie. I like them all.

I am young enough that the first James Bond I first paid attention to was Roger Moore so to me he was James Bond.

For my wife who is much older her favorite is Sean Connery.

I thought Timothy Dalton did a good job. I liked Pierce Brosnana even better and the latest one Daniel Craig was super! I can't wait for Quantam Solace to come out!!!!

I have seen all of them many many times but Daniel Craig has to be my favorite "Bond" so far. Casino Royal was excellent!

I also think that George Lazenby (On Her Majesty's Secret Service) was given the short end of the stick when it came to playing James Bond. He should have made a few more.

I just finished watching "First Knight" starring Sean Connery and Richard Gere. Needless to say, Richard Gere definitely trumps SC. lol

I agree. I thought he did an amazing job and the film was very well done. I am anxously awaiting Quantam Solace despite the apparent bad luck the production has been having.

Did you see those pics of the Aston Martin being fished out of that Italian lake after the guy driving it to the set ran off that curvy mountain road and into the lake? Then they had two serious accidents after that. I think at least one and maybe two people died. Sounds like they needed a better stunt coordinator. I think two of the serious accidents happened just a day or two apart and all of them including driving the car into the lake withn a matter of weeks.

Well, I have to admit Richard Gere is kinda cute. But Sean Connery to me is an ageless actor. He just got better with time.

Yeah but that is because SC was probably 130 when he filmed that!

His best movies when older were Entrapment and The Rock.

This is true. Most men are like wine, they get better with age. Not all, but most. My husband sure did. After 20 years of marriage, he is tons better looking now, it's hard to believe.

WOW!!! That is one of my favorite movies of all time. I have it on regular DVD and High Definition DVD. When I have company and we are goingto watch a movie I always ask if they have seen that first. It was a great throwback to all of those great caper movies from the 60's.

By the way they are supposed to be making a sequal "The Brazilian Job" for 2009 but it may be later.

I like Sean Connery the best. He is just good!!! He is so cool headed and simply a classy actor. :D

Hey Barbie. I am an Ultimate JB fan. I was very much against the change to Daniel Craig until I saw the movie. I love him as Bond and I am a 'Bond Purist'. I think that he may go down as the 'best action Bond'. SC is hard to pulll against as the best Bond. It would be like saying that Harrison Ford is not the Best Indiana Jones-if someone else to start playing the role of Indy. With that being said my favs are DC-cause of the action, PB cause he was the smoothest, SC cause he was the first and original, Timothy Dalton is on the bottom of the list just above George Lazenbe (sp) from Her Majesty's Secret Service oh yeah and Peter Sellers in the funny version of Casino Royale.

No question, it's Sean Connery! I also liked Pierce Brosnan.

I own Casino Royale but I don't think the "new guy" is the best. jmho

Pierce Brosnan is my favorite although I like Roger Moore as well, since I have seen more of his than any. :)

After seeing Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible I think he would make a great James Bond as well. :)
