It's Your Pulpit. What do you Preach on Dad's Day?
If you could preach tomorrow, what would you think most important to say on Father's Day?

We have a guest speaker for Fathers Day our pastor's wifes Father. Missionary George Craft. I'm sure it will be great
Br and Sis Craft return to Austria next Thursday after a year on furlough. Next week I'm preaching on the subject of "faith". The 29th we have a special 5th Sunday Feast speaker coming to inspire us. Our pastor is on a missions trip to the Ukraine with some of our kids. Happy Fathers day to all. |

I believe we are in the age of grace, but judgement is coming. Contrast the father's love with the brother's judgement. It still happens in the "family". IMO, to begrudge the "favor" (grace) of a sibling shown by the "Father" speaks of insecurity and jealousy. |

Did you know last Sunday was "Childrens Day" ? Really. Pastor taught on how to raise your kids proper last week.
Very good teaching BTW. (in case my pastor is lurking) |

That our heavenly Father loves us with so great a love that even though we were His enemies, Christ died for us. His desire is to cover our sins and reconcile us to Himself through Christ. And nothing can separate us from His love.

Sons, don't take your Dad being there for granted. Men, be fathers to your kids, not just men.

Joshua 4:1-24
Joshua had them pile the stones as a memorial so they had a place to take their children back to to remind them what God had done. I would speak about building memorials in our lives - having places that, when our children need to be reminded what God has done and what He can do now and in the future - we would be able to take them back to those times. We can say to our children, "If God was able to bring us thru *whatever it was*, then we know that God is able to take us through whatever we are going through now. Build faith in your children by reminding them who God is, how much He loves them and cares for them and what He has done for them. |

Try your hardest to be like our Father.

Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Eph 6:4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. or.... Eph 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. |
Re: It's Your Pulpit. What do you Preach on Dad's
Well, I will be preaching, "Born to be Wild" and will be telling men that a man's man doesn't have to conform to the world to make a difference, win the day or be a hero.
As I have stated many times before, we will be exceeding the fun limit!! :D http://www.apostolicfriendsforum.com...ad.php?t=15683 |
