My Daughter Received The Holy Ghost.

I just got a phone call from my wife, who went to Montgomrey to pick up the church kids from the teen camp, anyways she told me that my daughter handed her a note that said I got the Holy Ghost.

I am very happy, and thank you all for praying for my daughter very much.
Please continue to pray for my daughters.

My oldest daughter is 15.She is a very shy and withdrawn person she keeps to herself alot it really concerns her mother and myself.

First, I understand your concern, your daughter must be very shy if she told your wife this news through a note! I would encourage you to give her every opportunity to socialize (without forcing her, of course) that you can. Being a teenage girl can be very hard!!

Second, PRAISE THE LORD, Bro. Scott!! Wonderful news!!

Praise the Lord Jesus!

Bro. Scott before I received the Holy Ghost, I was a very meloncolic person. The Spirit of God changed my personality to be a very optomistic. The Lord can make your daughter into what he wants her to be!

Sometimes that can be an indicator of a strong inner strength!

I want my daughter to socialize, but we don't have too many young people at our church,so we take her to events at other churches when we can.

Bro. Scott is not Trinity. Oh, sorry, misread the question. Bro Scott is further South... Trinity is near Anniston. I live closer to Trinty than the good brother does.

Re: My Daughter Received The Holy Ghost.

Bro. Scott,

I missed this. Been working on church books, just lurking and browsing
off and on the past couple of days.

What wonderful news concerning your daughter. I was 18 yrs. old, my brother
just younger than myself, was 16. I had graduated the year before. My brother
just older than myself was 20 and in college.

Daddy was so concerned about his children growing older and would be
leaving home perhaps, etc.,etc., and had not received the Holy Ghost.

There was a revival in our small hometown 60 miles away. He took a week's
vacation in order to attend each night with his family. He prayed and fasted,
carrying a burdened heart for his beloved children.

It was a Friday night, the last night of the revival. The enemy of our souls was
stirred up, having seen Daddy and Mom's prayers and fasting. The alter call had
been given and my brother and I didn't go, at least not yet! We went outside as
did others. Some were in the alter. Dad came outside and told us we needed to
go back inside. We went back in and took a seat near the back.

Suddenly my brother just younger than myself went to the alter. I saw that
it appeared he just might be going to receive the Holy Ghost. I was under
heavy conviction. After a little while I went and knelt beside him. Someone
said, "James is receiving the Holy Ghost". I didn't want to be left behind and
said, "Tell him to pray with me". He started praying, telling me how wonderful
he felt and it was not long and I received it too. That has been 50 yrs. ago
this year.

I thank God for a Dad and Mom who cared enough about me to fast and pray
and travail until I was born again, and received the "kingdom of heaven"
within me. It has made all the difference in my life. I had no idea I would
receive the Spirit that night. But Dad and Mom were having those "labor
pains" and they just would not stop. Suddenly, like a rushing mighty wind,
it came and I was born......again! Thank God, just in time.

If your daughter could just get on a daily schedule of a prayer time and a
time for reading God's Word, it will help her to grow spiritually.

As newborn babes desire the sincere milk of the Word, that they may grow
thereby. May the Lord give her a strong desire to do so, in Jesus Name!

Blessings,

Falla39

Sis. Lisa,

You are right! They do grow up too fast. Our eldest, a daughter,
turned 48 this week. Our eldest son, turned 45, a couple of weeks
ago. Our youngest, a son, turns 33 yrs. next week. We also have
three others in between but their birthdays are not in June! LOL

Our eldest grandchild, a grandson, will be 25 in a couple of months,
We'll be married 49 yrs. next month,

As an old song says, "Ain't It Funny How Time Slips Away".

Blessings,

Falla39
