Did Not happen but I saw several today at the beach and they all looked the same.... hair shorter than mine and desperatly wanting to be a man....

While I am not gonna judge a Christian lady to hell for having short hair.. I have never seem a BUTCH LESBIAN want to have beautiful long flowing hair.. it reminds her of the fact that she was created to be a helper to man and that drives her insane and as a result will NEVER have long hair.......

There is a Spirit behind a dear sister wanting her hair to be short.... just as Lesbians cut their hair and shape it like a mans in rebellion to male authority I believe that Spirit is prevelant in the church today....

Why would a Christian lady not want long hair as a sign of her place in Gods divine order?

If you will read the story of the Martyrs in the early church.. they would take the Christian women and put tar to their LONG HAIR and burn them starting at their hair... .... there is much historical data suggesting to us that Christian women has always worn long hair???

Why would a woman not want to keep in the way of her foremothers? The ones who walked with Christ all had long hair.... we must look no further than Mary to see hair taking down her long hair to wash the feet of our Lord.

Why would a lady want to walk in the same Spirit as Dyke Lesbians who refuse to wear long hair?

We have one that's been coming to church some with long hair and she's VERY manly. But I will admit it's unusual. Usually they seem to have blond short spikes.

What about the "spirit" of simply wanting hair that is easier to take care of? My wife has relatively short hair (NOT butched, but usually just above her shoulders) and even though she knows I would like it a bit longer she HATES having to spend any amount of time taking care of it every single morning.

I think I'm going to disagree with your statement here.

I don't think they are doing it for the reasons you state. I think they are doing it because they want to be identified as a man. They wear men's clothes, they wear men's hair styles, and act as men. It's called perversion, not just rebellion.

Just because a woman wishes to wear her hair short doesn't mean she is partaking in any kind of rebellion OR perversion.

For every opinion you offer, there are others who can disprove it by offering theirs. :winkgrin

With all due respect to Bro. Vaughn, but the generalizations here would be laughable if they weren't so sad. Because a woman echooses to wear her hair short, she desperately wants to be a man? The implication that women with short hair are rebellious, has a "spirit" and refuses to submit to male authority is ridiclous to say the least. Hair is a sign of divine order? So, convesely, a woman who has long hair is in divine order, has no "bad spirit", is not rebellious and willingly submits to male aithority. Thats equally ridiculous.

My veiw on womens hair, not that my view matters. We are Pentecostal. Long hair on women is a Pentecostal tradition. I prefer to see sisters follow the Pentecostal tradition of having long hair. How long is long? Thats not up to me, thats up to the "hair wearer". My late wife wore her hair rather short for two reasons: 1) She preferred it that way and, 2) arthritis made it difficult for her to manage her hair as well as she would have liked to. She was certainly not deperately trying to be a man, nor was she rebellious.
The spirit I see prevalent in this the quote above is the spirit that seeks to control and dominate our sisters into mindless, unquestioning zombies that are nothing more than servants to their masters. The word "Nicolatians" comes to mind. "Conquer the laity".

Besides, brother, I thought women weren't CREATED- they are mere "by-products" of creation.

The point remains, no matter how offensive it might be..... Women who hate male authority and who want to be in the place of men.. you will most always see them cut their hair off.... Is it not a safe assumption that there is a Spirit of Rebellion and perversion in a woman who would desire to be like those women of ill repute?

He was at the beach for the same reason I am going to 6 flags in Atlanta next month. Not waiting until Oct. when it cools off. 95-100 degree weather will make sure the "ladies" are appropriately dressed to add value to the $35 ticket!!

You are confused! The Bible says it is a shame for a man to have long hair. It does not say it is a shame for a woman to have short hair. Furthermore, using the story of the woman drying Jesus' feet with her hair is so out of context. It has nothing to do with the woman's hair but everything to do with her servitude to the Master. If that scripture is meant to tell women they have to have hair long enough to dry feet, then what are you going to do with ethnicities whose hair does not grow long? If I were a black woman, I would be very offended by your post and any preacher who preached such doctrine.

I don't like to read broad-brushing on any subject, including your assumption that all lesbians have a problem with the male gender! There are some lesbians, because of sexual abuse or some other traumatic experience they suffered by the hands of a man, would have issues with men; however, the majority of lesbians don't have a desire to be a man or have issues with men.

I have known many lesbians and they were someone's daughter, sister, mother or grandmother who had the same hopes and dreams of any other person on the planet (and the need of a Saviour too).

For somehow to portray these people in the light that you have on this thread, diminishes their humanity in many other people's eyes. They may not be so willing to reach out and befriend those "lesbians" in order to lead them to Christ because of this unfounded belief that they didn't like men.

If we could only see everyone through the eyes of Jesus who loves all of his children and wants them ALL to be saved, our efforts to reach them would be much more successful.

One last thing, to imply that women with cut/short hair had the spirit of a lesbian was the most ridiculous, backwoods comment I have read on the forum! :snapout
