Bro & Sis Falla - 49th Anniversary

In this time in history it is such a notable thing for a married couple to be married for 49 years. I give honor to Bro. & Sis. Falla for their commitment to God, each other, and their family.

Happy Aniversary Sis. Falla and may God grant you another blissful year so we can :bdayparty:stars

Forty-nine Years Ago Today, at 8:00 p.m.

When I started typing this post, I glanced at the clock and it
read exactly 8:00 p. m. We married at 8:00 p.m.

Forty-nine years ago, July 11, 1959, I married my beloved husband.
Sometimes it seems like yesterday and then sometimes it seems longer.

http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l7...Engagement.jpg

Two days before the 4th, our six adult children and their families
presented us with a surprise trip to a very nice place in Branson, MO.
They had all been in Branson but we never had. We had two days to
get ready so we had to really get busy. It was wonderful and we would
not have come home until Sunday, but my brother, just younger than
myself, was trimming trees yesterday and the ladder shifted and the ten
foot ladder shifted, and the ladder went one way and he went the other.
Please pray for my brother, James. He underwent surgery today for a
broken pelvis, broken in more than one place. But we know a GOD who is
well able to "fix" that which is broken, whether it be a heart or our body!

This morning as we were returning to Texas, I felt waves of emotions
sweep over me as the memories of forty-nine years flooded my mind.
How GREAT God has been and continues to be to our family. His goodness
and mercy, His love and care, just reminds me what an AWESOME, WONDER-
FUL GOD we are SO priviledged to know, love and serve! I just wanted to
express how much I LOVE and ADORE HIM! He is the reason for the wonder-
ful gifts of family, marriage, children, grandchildren, good health, and so
many other blessings too numerous to name!

Forgive me if I seem overly expressive tonight, but I feel SO blessed!

Just want to tell You, I'm Thankful for all that You have done;
For the stars and the moonlight, and the setting sun.
When my work on earth is through, I'm coming Home to be with You,
Just want to tell You, I'm thankful, that's all!

Blessings,

Falla39

Sis. Falla...If you were married in 1957 - You have been married 51 years...LOL. That is the year I was born...but I'll claim 49. I started a thread saying Happy Anniversary but it wasn't noticed. Maybe they can put the two together.

Happy Anniversary and may you have many more.

Love & Blessings, Rhoni

Sis. Rhoni,

Thanks for noticing my mistake! I graduated from high school in

to get home today made my mind a bit slow!!! Thanks for helping me!
I do appreciate it very much! I love you, friend!

Thanks for the Congrats!!!

Sis. Rhoni,

When our eldest son informed us of what they had arranged for us,
I told him why didn't you all just wait until next year for the big one.
He said, "We wanted to do this THIS year and we'll do something BIG
next year for the BIG ONE!!

Those little "bundles" we carried in their early formative years have
grown into some of life's greatest blessings. Not just in the material
things they do for us, but to sit among them in church as they serve
the Living God there and in the community we live in as they work in
and among the people we have known all their lifetimes. They are
continuing the work set forth by my parents when I was a young
girl and then a young wife and mother in the community where we
were planted over fifty years ago. These old roots are pretty deep
now. I love the promises of God.

Psalm 92:12-15
"The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like
a cedar in Lebanon.
Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in
the courts of our God.
They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and
flourishing;
To shew that the LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no
unrighteousness in Him.

Isaiah 54: 17,..in part.
"This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their
righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Titus 3:5-6
"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, by according
to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and
renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Which He shed on us abundantly
through Jesus Christ our Savior;
That being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according
to the hope of eternal life."

Just giving some glory to my Lord and My God this beautiful Saturday
morning in America!

Blessings,

Falla39

Thank each of you for your kind, sweet words of congratulations and
support! I count each of you my brothers and my sisters in Christ.
I love each and every one of you with the love of Christ shed abroad
in my heart by the Holy Ghost.
HE loves You through my vessel. He has none but ours, does HE!
I am only a vessel, HE is the Contents!
Today He wants everyone of you to know, HE loves you SO MUCH!
Yes, YOU!! EveryONE of you!

Bro. CC1,

I made a mistake in my first post but didn't know if you noticed
it was corrected later. We married in 1959, instead of 1957. I gradu-
ated in 57 from high school.
Anyway, thanks for the congrats and we may be older than dirt but
we are happy old dirt!!
LOL!! God has been SO good to us and
blessed us with a wonderful family. To Him be praise, honor and glory!

Blessings,

Falla39
