Canadian Soldiers In Afghanistan
These are Leopard Tanks.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rab8c...eature=related This is some of the clean ones I can post. They have a bunch of them where they are fighting but the language is very graphic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sL4nl78hB50 In this video a fallen soldier comes home. We have lost almost 90 soldiers since we went into Afghanistan in '02. There are about 2,500 troops in Afghanistan that is the largest contingent of NATO forces there. We are carrying the load. |

The US I hear is supposed to send more troops there. The thing is, half our troops are overseas already, mostly in Peacekeeping roles in Cyprus, Golan heights, Lebanon, stc. |

Carrying the load?? The deployment will keep U.S. troop level at about 27,000 http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/asiapc...ops/index.html |
Re: Canadian Soldiers In Afghanistan
We should have a larger Armed Forces but after years of neglect under our worst Prime Minister ever Pierre Trudeau, we are slowly building them up.
We recently built a whole lot of frigates that are based in the Persian Gulf along with destroyers. We just bought a bunch of those Hercules? heavy lift planes. We bought some Leopard Tanks, armored personal carriers. We are looking at getting some Amphibious troop carriers. I personally think that we should double our personnel in the armed forces. We should get some shortened version of the Aircraft Carriers like Britain & Australia have. JMHO |

So naturally your casualty list will be proportionately bigger. |

Re: Canadian Soldiers In Afghanistan
Since May, the deaths of U.S. and allied troops have far outpaced the toll in Iraq. On Thursday, the toll in Afghanistan was 21 compared to six in Iraq. The International Security Assistance Force did not provide the nationality of a soldier who died in Afghanistan on Thursday

I do dispute the source though, I have seen the UPC be called a cult at Wikapedia. It doesn't have a lot of credibility in my eyes. |
