Ode to the Swiffer

, Specifically the ones that have Febreze in the Swiffing Pads. :D

Sweet Swiffer, How do I love thee?
Let me count the ways....

Oh, thou the swiveling, sweeping one,
Thank you for your household handiness,
My Mopping Days have been reduced
To Rare, Infrequent Rubble.

Now I use thy Slipping, Sliding, Stealth
To clean the most odious mess with Ease.

My back will thank thee all thy days,
And my nose appreciates thy sweet Febreze.

When all my cleaning days are o'er,
And a mop handle I touch no more,
Perhaps upon my grave will read,
She didn't work hard, but her house was STILL CLEAN!!!!

:whistle

Miss Brat I think they need to hire you for in their advertising department!

I am almost tempted to go out right now and buy one-because the products I use are so inferior.:(

Well, having tried several products before settling on the perfect one, here are my suggestions: :roseglasses

* The Swiffer WetJet is overrated, IMO, but you might like it.
* The Febreze pads smell good, but some of the others smell like sour towels.
* Don't buy the off brand!!!!!

Re: Ode to the Swiffer

I've heard that mopping your floors with them is causing some dogs to be sick???

Not taking any chances, but I sure loved it on my tile floors.:)

I have a small pomerian that I love to much to take a chance with.

My SIL who had a pom was the one telling me about it. Not sure where she got her information from, but it seems like she said the vet. Not positive. I'll try and remember to ask her the next time I talk to her.

Okay, by the way, my sister has two poms. She grooms one to look like a fox and the other has short body hair and a full mane like a little lion.

It's a myth, Esther:

"Swiffer pet rumor:
Question:Are the ingredients safe?
Answer:
We're glad you came to us for the facts about the rumor circulating. Swiffer Wet cloths and WetJet liquid solution do not contain antifreeze or any ingredient similar to it. In fact, Swiffer products have been safely used in over 15 million U.S. homes--many with pets--for nearly five years.

Independent veterinarians and scientists evaluated the Swiffer Wet Cloths and WetJet cleaners and found them safe. The ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) has even posted information about this rumor on their site. Here's a link to their home page: http://www.aspca.org

We have pets too, and their health and well-being is very important to us. Please help us put animal lovers' minds at ease and stop this rumor by sharing the truth with others."

I love swifter to dust. I tried the wetjet mop and did not care for it. It worked on my bathroom floors ok - but the tile in my kitchen is rough and the area is large and it did not work well in there. I have not tried the Freebreze (sp)ones- I just did not feel the smell was worth the cost.
