AFF thread---Pet Peeves

1. Long run on threads that have nothing to do with the topic.

2. EVERY thread seems to turn into a HolyMagicHair discussion.

3. Bringing into a thead, "Should a woman cut her hair!" Give it a break already or GO START YET ANOTHER THREAD ON THE TOPIC.....!

4. Asking "is it a sin to...." Liberals and Cons beat their drumbeats!! So tired.

5. Long graphics and web links in signature lines. I read it once. Do I have to see the ad on every post?

6. Mean people. ONE POSTER ASKED FOR MEDICAL RECORDS to prove someones claim at being sick!!! That is nosey and unethical.

7. Attitude of "I am right" and "my way is the only way to interpet this."

What is yours?

This is one that I wish individuals would do something about. It makes threads MUCH longer (size wise) than they need to be.

Also, another thing that makes threads much bigger is quoting when you don't need to. Someone writes a long and well written post. The very next person quotes the whole thing only to add a single short sentence, or even one word.

Constant hashing and rehashing of women's issues. Magic hair is only one of many.

After a LONG discussion someone new reads the thread and comments on every posts that is a couple days old and has already been covered. Best to read the thread first, then comment.

People who claim to be Apostolic but attack the Oneness movement much more than even most Trinitarians do.

People who look for every opportunity to say something sarcastic or negative about the UPC.

People (some of whom have probably not won a soul in ...forever) talking trash about other ministers who are being used by God to win souls on an almost daily basis.

I used to be friends from someone up your way and he used to spend time on the computer, I am surprised he isn't on here.

The incessant beating of dead horses. I realize that there are new people who want to discuss things, but once you have fully made your point on a thread, is it really necessary to make it again, and again, and again, and again...

Maybe you/I would be able to read the whole thread if they could stay more on topic and were not hijacked by mean spirited comments, personal debates, women issues, and the like.......

Do you ever wonder why every thread--if it lasts long enough--seems look like every other thread? Same players, same topics, same fights over the same tired issues.

Every thread if women get a hold of it will invariably turn into a shoe, cake, flowers, or decorating thread.

And then after that it inevitably turns to potting training and breast feeding..... Give me a man cave with a pool table!

Duplicate threads. New threads created for every new comment about a topic, rather than having one thread for the entire topic. DA is the worst offender!!!! :D

Are we allowed to have people who are our pet peeves? Or is this limited to non-human entities? (Disclaimer: DA is NOT my pet peeve.)

Thinking that oneness orgs can do no wrong.

Thinking that any ordained oneness minister can't be discussed or "touched" no matter how deviant his/her teaching is.

Thinking that anyone who has left the UPC is no longer apostolic.

Thinking that those who have left the UPC no longer think that baptism is important.

Thinking that those who have left the UPC no longer preach holiness.

Thinking that the Admin here are playground attendants and policemen.

Thinking that everyone who has totally surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ are lost, even those who have spoken in tongues, unless they have been baptized in Jesus' name.

Thinking that I'm a heretic for saying all of the above! :D

Since I can't be here near as much as I used to do several months ago, most of my posts are drive bys...hit and runs so to speak. Therefore I don't even try to catch up because I can't most of the time.
