Quit it you guys, you're making me feel special. I haven't felt this special since they created a special class for me and some of my friends when I was in school. Even got a little short bus...especially for us!

You folks are great. I appreciate everyone of you. I have had a special day. Spent the entire day with a backsliden brother in the Lord. He just left a few minutes ago and, before he left, he asked me if we could pray together. And we did. He didn't pray through but he was wiping tears from his eyes when we finished praying. He told me he really wants to make things right with the Lord, but said he's got a lot to forgive himself for. I just know he'll be back and we'll be serving the Lord together once again. God is good, and still, God has not failed!

Thanks again, guys. This isn't really a happy day for me, though. I am happy that my buddy "Dub" called and asked to come spend the day, and I am happy I have friends like my AFF friends. But, feeling kinda down as I can remember exactly what I was doing this time last year. Lola had baked me a big chocolate cake (my favorite) and I took the bowl and licked it clean. Had chocolate cake batter all over my face. We had a great time. We knew she had had a stroke, but we didn't know until August 1 what caused the stroke. It was August 5th (Lola's birthday) that we were told those would most likely be our last birthdays together. And, that turned out to be the case. So todays a mix for me.... The next week or so, aren't going to be real good days. Lots of memories. But still, God is good!
