I was up late last night reading my bible. Strange thing, the alarm clock went off at midnight. (I was born later in the morning)lol.
Anyway, I put down the scriptures and thanked God for a good 26 yrs and let him know that I am looking forward to another 26. :)

I really enjoyed my late 20s. Early to mid 30s were cool too. Being over 40 isn't as bad as I thought it would be, but I don't really like it much. This weight is taking a toll on my body, my hair and beard are growing gray, and I sometimes find myself wishing I had made other choices when I was younger. I do like that fact that I am about 10 years away from having all of my children grown though. Life sure goes by quick, Bro. Find yourself a good woman and a career you really enjoy. Your choices start to get limited in both areas as you get older. :)

Thing is, I'm only now starting to live. When I was 21, approaching 22, I died. In my prime I sank into a deep hole.

I was married very young, had kids right away. By the time I was 25, I had a husband, two kids, a mortgage and a car payment. On my 25th birthday I cried. I told my husband that while I wouldn't trade anything in my life, I felt like I had wasted my youth.
All of my friends were just getting married, or having babies, and here I was, an old lady. So I told him that say that before I turned 30, I had to do something really crazy to prove to myself that I was still young and fun.

->->->->->->->-> fast forward 4 years and 51 weeks...

The week before my 30th birthday, My husband said "remember your 25th birthday, when you cried". Until he mentioned it, I hadn't. He said "you said you wanted to do something REALLY crazy, well you are going to".
My response was, "But I changed my mind about getting a tatoo!"
His response was, "it's not a tatoo"

Thankfully, I grew up and realized that I am not old (eventhough I am almost 10 years older than the birthday when I cried), I am enjoying life, and I have to say THESE are the best years so far, but I am looking forward to many more great ones to come.

It wasn't anything like I imagined. I thought it was going to be an adreniline rush (like a roller coaster), instead it was the most peaceful thing I have ever done. Well the one minute free fall was intense, but after the 'chute was pulled it was like flying, no sound... Just quiet scenery. Fantastic!!! I would do it again in a heartbeat!
