President Bush:
Final 7 years will begin this year!
President Bush has said that he believes the final seven years to the Battle of Armageddon will begin yet this year!
He didn’t say it in exactly those words. What he said was that he believed a final peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians would be concluded before the end of this year.
The Bible says, when this happens, the final seven years to Armageddon and to the Second Coming of Jesus will begin.

IB said the final seven years will begin when THE MIDDLE EAST PEACE TREATY IS SIGNED. It is possible that the treaty could be signed this year, thus beginning the final 7.

I for one, am concerned about this and do take what he is saying this time seriously. I used to run and sing cadences about "praying for war" and "what makes the grass grow, blood! blood! blood!" But the Iran situation is REALLY not looking good.

The treaty may be signed, but it will have absolutely nothing to do with bible prophecy.

I am about 1/3 convinced that in our lifetimes, these things will come to a head and at least part of what IB says is true.

that being that when it all happens a war will take place that kills 1/3 of the population which is just over 2 billion.

the situaiton with Iran, complicate by Russias desire to renew the cold war and its commitment to MAD (Mutually Assured Distruction), and our placing SDI missle technologies in Eastern Europe.... AND Russias recient saber rattleing where they stated they might put nuclear capable airplanes in Cuba....


ALL cause me some pause.

I don´t know much about IB but I personally believe the church will go through the tribulation. I don´t know much about dating things and do not know if we can correctly do that but do know things are winding up.
If others should be right that the rapture is at any moment I feel I am ready however I don´t believe it is...however we believe we need to live READY.

Where?? The Bible is pretty clear no man will no when the Lord shall return. The Lord did give us clues and signs in Matthew 24 but then just said that the end is nigh, but then in the same chapter says we still wont know when. He shall return as a thief in the night. I dont know one person that can tell you when he or she will be robbed............

He will not come as a thief in the night for those who are in the light.

ITh 5 is plain.

But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

He will come as a thief in the night for those who are of the darkness.

The writing in the opening verse of what we call Chap. 5 is something that is consistent with a view that differentiates between the scriptural witness of "hour and day" vs. "times and seasons."

But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.

children of the light should not be overtaken by a thief in the night. If you can be overtaken, you are NOT a child of the day.

But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

The day of Lord, to us, should not come upon us as a thief in the night.

As for your verse.........re-read it.

(1 Thessalonians 5:1-2 KJV) But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

That is written to the church of Thessalonica, not sinners. 2 Peter was written to the church in Jerusalem......not sinners. The day of the Lord WILL come as a thief in the night......no need to try and explain it away.......take the Bible for what it says.............

Look at Matthew 24. Two women grinding at the mill....one taken, the other left. Two in the field, one taken, the other left. You think the ones taken saw it coming? Gimme a break......

lol..........darkness meaning I dont know when the Lord shall return then yes......darkness meaning I wont be in the rapture............no. Read your Bible man............in several places...it specifically says the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night. To break this down as simply as I can, it means that it will be quick like in the twinkling of an eye (1 Corinthians 15:52) and is unknown to us when it will occur just like when a thief comes in the night.....quick and unknown. Is that really that difficult to understand?

Jesus was talking about what happened in 70AD in Matt 24. I used to think those scriptures dealt with end time stuff too, but not anymore. That was one prophecy I believe has already been fulfilled. Guess that makes me a partial preterist in some people's eyes. If even one single end time prophecy has been fulfilled in the last 2000 years, then everyone should be a partial preterist.

When will everyone wake up and stop buying into this? What kind of excuses will be offered in 2015 when nothing happens? New dates will be set and everyone will buy into it again? How long has this been going on? I remember 1988... here we go again. Certainly if this is to happen in our future, the Bible would have been a little clearer about it so as we would know it was about to happen.
