I keep getting e mails that I am being discussed on another forum...They are trying to decide so I hear if AFF has changed me... I have written here before it was AFF...when it was just Faithchild...Jim invited me to join...

I think after over 1000 pictures and hundreds of posts what we teach is an open book...Over the years I have posted about hair seminars, holiness seminars, Acts 2:38 seminars...

No, we do not try to americanize our people we try to help them become christians.

I hear you can tell what a person lives by their pictures so all they would have to do is look at the first pictures I posted and look today...

If they don't have anything better to do than to "discuss" you and tear you down, then they need to get off their duffs and start working for the Lord as hard as YOU do! I agree with Prax. They are pathetic. You are the kind of Christian I want to be, Sis. Alvear. Not them. Thank you for the example that you show to all of us. If I could just be half the woman that you are, I would feel like I had done well in my life.

Isn't it so stinkin' pathetic that instead of talking about all the places you folks have reached and all the villages you have touched, that some __________________ are so carnal that they wonder if you're are as "holy" as you used to be?

This kind of stuff causes my "holy" blood to boil. We know who you are and your character. May God open the eyes of the blind guides straining at a gnat!

The only things that I have heard is that you have started a TV ministry and your claim-to-fame- is that you have been baptizing people in the name of "BAM". OH, and you are preaching that everyone, men and women alike, should wear navy blue mechanic's coveralls, with their name emblazoned on the Tag- "Shirley-- Property of Jesus"... But this is just what I have "heard"...

Sister Alvear, we know that this kind of rumor and gossip mongering is not of God. So you just keep on keeping on. God will take care of your enemies for you. I do believe that God is able to keep you and yours in spite of all the enemy brings against you. Just laugh at some people's pathetic attempts to tear down what God has raised up. Count it all joy.

It kinda hurts me that men would stoop so low and not be man enough to come to me IF they think I have changed...lol...and these are men that do not believe in women preachers so they don´t even think I am saved to start with...
However, I am not going to waste my time...my life declares what I hold dear to me and that is what Jesus held dear to him: the souls of lost men and women all over the world.

My goal in life is not to split the UPC, ACI , CIA, FBI or anything like that. In fact my children NEVER knew anything about UPC/AMF until they were grown! We minded our own business and I usually worked to help make money to support us and little churches and friends here and there were moved on by the Holy Ghost to help us.

I do not like politics...do not believe they mixed in the first church and sure have no room for things like that in the church today...
My husband and I do not feed on things like that and that is the exact reason we have stayed in our little corner working for the Lord.
I don´t need a church council telling me who I can be friends with...IF MY PASTOR questioned or had any doubt about any of my friends HE IS MAN ENOUGH to come to me. I talk to him every week or so and have for the last 40 years.

When I am in the states I visit churches that ask me to come and promote missions. I don´t always agree with everything and I am sure some do not agree with me but they do not doubt my sincerity.

I will always be grateful when I was 6 years old a little spiritual communion babysitter took my sisters and I to a little oneness church and it was there my folks became christians. A year later God led them to greater truth...but each time I am home I still when in the state go by there to thank a little lady for taking me to church...

Do I believe like she does? No...but I am forever grateful to her...and so I am grateful to all those that give to missions...

Sis Alvear,

I just saw this, and I am sorry that you are feeling hurt.

We are human, and we can still be hurt.

I have not heard about this from any other source, but I have a feeling I know where these things are being said.

What sets you apart from some, is that you "talk" to everyone.
You do not limit your conversation to those that are "like" you.
In other words, you do not "shun" folks if they don't believe 100 % like you.

Is that a good thing? Yes indeed it is.

You show love, compassion, kindness, friendship, thoughtfulness, and the list could go on.

I don't want you to worry over this kind of talk.
Just know that there are people everywhere that know better, and will not believe the gossips.

Sis. A., the other thing I know that you know already, but I want to remind you of is.......

When it's all said and done, you don't have to answer to anyone except Jesus. What they say about, they will have to give account to God for. If what they are saying is diminishing your effect work, then shame on them. And they will have sooooo much more to answer to God for! I could almost convince myself to feel pity for them. Almost. Too bad I'm so human

I just think it is so silly.

Why not leave people alone and "work" their area? Visitation to the unsaved, visiting the sick, praying for their church folks, and praying for the missionaries.

Why are they wasting their time talking about a missionary lady in another country ?

If it is who I think it is doing the talking, they don't even believe in
women preachers. :crazy

Ok I love and respect Sis Alvear and know she despises confrontation so I have not said much on these threads when people have said little things about her in the past as I know I can be indeed a trouble maker at times.. yep I know my title was made in jest but it is true at times but I am going to say something now and be very clear and blunt... I know I am not an admin here nor am I the official Alvear defender as the truth needs no defending however....

She has very obviously not changed what she preaches or believes and it is very STOOPID and sickening that you would even consider questioning the paths of such a Godly woman!!!! I am back...for just a few minutes.. I am trying to help someone that was just told they have cancer...
I am so sorry some people have nothing to do but try to tear down...However while my health lasts I am trying to put another brick on a very high wall...
We all change I have more patience than I once had...I was talking to a sister last night how that when we become grandparents we have more patience with the children...
I know men on that forum that once preached against let's say Christmas and now celebrate...I know men that once did not take medicine take it...men that didn't believe in second marriage until it came to their families...I don't think any less of them I think they are men of God...and it might hurt but whatever they say about me is ok...just as long as the JUDGE of the earth finds me faithful...that is the most important thing to me.
I know men over there that once believed in women preachers that do not believe in them today...I have always wondered all my life about men that were saved under a woman and then turn against them...to me salvation is important and I have never let people's opinions take my eyes off the one who called. I love HIM..His beauty, his kindness...My lovely Lord is humble...I have trouble being humble. Will you folks pray for me?
I once believed we were fixing to sail away in the rapture however today I believe the church will go through tribulation...and one of the factors that makes me believe this is that something will have to happen to help us love one another...
Some people have an agenda...however they have picked on the wrong person...I wish them well and am so sorry that some men are so insecure. When we lower ourselves to try to take a shot at our brother or sister we lack the love of Christ in our hearts.
I want to see how they look me in the eye when we meet again...I guess they forgot I do have friends also...
Anything I have said here or on any other forum is open and I have nothing to hide...
(MY opinions I usually keep to myself or share them with only close friends) I would say that some that are trying to crucify will end up being crucified...He that lives by the sword dies by the sword...
I don't plan to go over there...whatever they need to examine my character...my strengths and weaknesses they can find here and I don't plan to examine their characters... I have too much to do.... Christians are and should be peaceful because our God is a God of peace and unity.

Thank You Amazing grace and to others that share my burden for God's lost world.

I did not come to this forum or any other forum to pastor someone or debate doctrines...I leave that to those that like to debate.

If I am asked how I feel about something I speak up...I usually post about missions and try to help those that are tired of climbing.

I am not ashamed of my friends...Jesus had many type friends...I am a people person and I like people but I do not specialize in hurting those I disagree with.

God works in mysterious ways His wonders to perform...I once taught English classes under the umbrella of a school here in Brazil...One day the overseer told me he had a very hard job and he felt like I could handle it...to my surprise I was assigned to teach English to a man that his first words to me was he hated Americans.... (I am glad the school warned me) He was learning English his factory was in a lawsuit against an American factory...
I just acted like I never caught on when he ranted and raved about Americans...some of the things he said I agreed with but never told him! ha...
Anyway after months of patience that man that hated Americans told me he was sorry he had said that to me and as long as I taught him he gave me boxes of food for my family besides receiving from my overseers! In fact I had 11 kids at home at that time and took most of them to meet him. He was so touched that we had kids of every color.
We (Janice Alvear included) need to go back to Calvary and watch Him die…

I would imagine some people wish they had not said certain things...strange the human nature and how easy it is to try to kill someone that is not even involved on their forum...I guess they forget how easy it is to get on forums...

The actions of those who would hide behind closed forum doors and discuss the life of a dedicated missionary in anything less than complimentary terms speak for them self.

May God turn the petty criticisms whispered in the secret corners of the Internet into open blessings for the Alvears and the work of God in Brazil.

what they meant to be secret has been revealed to us...Even closed forums are not secret...someone always lets you in to make sure you read and know...
I was a little hurt at first but I am praying for those that have said false things. It is with their stones I will build my castle!
One friend of mine that is Jehovah's Witness went to visit some people and they were telling her how wrong her doctrine is and she looked at them and said, "your tongue is as long as your sleaves," she knew the family and they were always gossiping...

I believe in standards but I believe in inner holiness...If the heart is not clean and pure it seeks to destroy for the human heart is evil...we may hid our elbows but we cannot hid our heart for our works tell what is in the heart.

I would hate to be lost because of slandering my blood washed brother or sister...

I am glad YOU said this and not me. The truth is there are a lot of people out there with an AWFUL lot of time on their hands. And why they have to use their free time to slowly MURDER men and womens ministries is utterly beyond me!

I remember the habit of a man in the ACI who was known inside its ranks to be a very vicious and destructive man to other ministers IN that same group! HIS habit would be when you would sit in the office with him to say "Hey, have YOU heard anything about Brother so and so being arrested for child molestation?" " When I would reply in absolute astonishment..."NO! HAVE YOU?" He would say, "No , I was just asking if you had HEARD that." And it hit me after the second or third time "Thats how this guy gets the material he uses to destroy his brethren behind their backs!"

(YOU KNOW who I am talking about, even if you dont realize it.)

NOW HERE COMES THE PART WHERE YOU CAN ALL TAKE POT SHOTS AT *ME*

I THINK these guys NEED to get a TV! Their minds tend to wander towards absolute evil and destruction when unoccupied! Better to watch UGLY BETTY or The O'REILLY FACTOR than to sit around actively destroying mens lives!

Mr "HAVE YOU HEARD" when I asked him if he didnt think it was potentially destructve to talk about good men like that because you may give someone else the impression that you do INDEED have some information like that which you are merely trying to corroborate, may indeed result in THEM going off and spreading the "Brother _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Said that Brother so and so was arrested for child molestation!. HIS reply ??? "If they didnt do anything they dont have anything to worry about!"

That same kind of garbage seems to be playing out again in your case. Some day I may email you and let you know the outright MURDER they tried to commit with me in MY ministry and life! But you know what, YEARS ago, back in the 1970's a woman of God came to me one day and said she had a word from the Lord for me that I needed to bury deep in my heart because the day would come when it would stand me in good stead encouragement wise, and it was this "NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST YOU SHALL PROSPER"

Sister Alvear, that word is for all of us!

Your wonderful nephew Jonathan preached a message that pointed out "WHEN THE ENEMY SHALL COME IN LIKE A FLOOD THE LORD WILL RAISE UP A BANNER AGAINST HIM" Not IF the enemy shall come in but WHEN he *SHALL* come in...its a given, but Gods people always wether the storm, you know that.

Old Brother Edmund Dyess always used to growl at us HIS piece of advice....

NEVER EXPLAIN ANYTHING! YOUR FRIENDS DONT NEED IT AND YOUR ENEMIES WONT BELIEVE IT!
