I feel like I am in the 40s the preacher is up there talking about...Radio and all the stations they are seeking across the nation. Are you kidding me? Has anyone heard of this?

I don't even know what you just said. Can you rephrase it perhaps?

I know but I was concerned!!! The preacher was talking about all the Radio stations Apostolic Radio (I am not sure exactly what they are calling it) is on and how many cities across the nation are signing on for Apostolic Radio. He said they even have a station on Cirrus/XMRadio?

It felt like the 1940s, trying to get folks all excited about the gospel being preached through the radio programs in an effort to "Take back the internet"

Maybe this is a counter-television effort.

Woooo! :TulsaTime::heeheehee

Is that true? Is this what it is called? I was kind of busy this morning so I wasn't paying close attention and I may have missed some of what was said...

:D

What is Media Missions?

Well we do have a TV, But I LOVE my Sirius Radio! it gets tons more of my time than my TV. I make it a point to listen to a particular program on Wednesday mornings on channel 161, it is "Lorri in the mornings", but on Wednesays, they always feature Randy Singer, who is one of my favorite authors.
I think the radio may be a possibility with all of the commuters I know...

Don't discount it! LOL

Never heard of it... On Sirius, there is a Gospel music channel, contemporary christian, catholic talk, southern baptist talk, and another catholic channel that I think is mostly mass.... but I could be wrong

Yes, that I think is the program title.

I recently saw such a presentation, and was rather surprised that it focused on radio (and a little internet)

It's not on Sirius, but Sirius and XM have merged. So if they're on XM then technically they're on Sirius/XM.

If they are then Sirius subscribers should be able to listen to them when they make receivers for both satellites.

I checked the XM channel lineup and didn't see anything that said apostolic anything.

I just got a new car a couple of weeks ago (first 'new' car in my life!) and it comes with 3 months of XM. After the first 2 DAYS I knew I was going to keep it!

Of course the only things I have listed to on it are "The 80's", one of the new age stations and the MLB one that carries all the Brewer games.

Wonder if they have a discount for anyone who only listens to 3 of the 180? LOL

Don't they say that half the battle is just showing up? :D Gotta do something when they are taking offering, then during ministry promotion.

I need to find out more about this radio deal apparently it is on in our city on 560AM at 8am on Sunday mornings.

I wonder, the way they were talking about it, it sounded like the radio was a new technology. ?

They don't have a dedicated station, that is a Christian Talk station on XM that they buy a small block of time on.

I have several favorites, and if I pay attention, there are shows on during the week, like "car talk", or martha stewart shows. I LOVE my sirius... it was the second best gift my hubby ever gave me!

A bed and breakfast on the Oregon Coast with a horse back ride on the beach didn't make the top 2 so you figure it out.

Maybe it was the cold shrimp omlet they served for breakfast.

LOL! Naw you have to know me... It was a dream of mine to jump out of an airplane, and the radio was because I am an avid talk-radio listener, but when we moved up here to DC, the only talk radio was pretty left-wing, so i went through major withdrawal, and so he fixed it :friend

I could also talk about the weekend he took me white water boating, horseback-riding, and to a bed and breakfast... but my other two were wayyy better :dance
