BONBINI from Aruba!

Hello - we have been in Aruba for a week for Ashley's wedding ceremony and we leave tomorrow. Eddie and Zac are out this afternoon together, so I actually have a few hours on Zac's computer - first time all week.

The wedding ceremony on the beach was absolutely gorgeous and I cannot overemphasize how glad I am that Ashley decided to do this instead of a traditional wedding. The afternoon of the wedding, Ashley and I got to hang out all day alone in a hotel room, drinking chocolate smoothies and just laughing and having stress-free fun. The wedding was at 6:30 pm and Zac walked her down the beach walkway to an arch where Eddie performed the ceremony.

The only bad news is that Adam got food poisoning and started throwing up about midnight the night of the wedding!!!! He was violently ill, but is some better, after they had to get a doctor and a poison control person to see to him. We went over to their resort yesterday afternoon and took him some prescription Lomotil and Phenagren (sp) that I had leftover from the trip to Kenya, but I think the doctor ended up giving him something different.

Oh well.....it will make a good story to tell their kids someday.

Anyway, tomorrow it's back to the real world. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

Thanks! It's been a much needed rest for Eddie & I after the trip to Kenya. I would never have planned two international trips this close together, but actually it turned out really well for us. Thank the Lord we have a very understanding church body and group of Deacons who know this was a very unusual set of circumstances! John Ragsdale is taking care of the services today in Jackson, so our people won't even miss us. LOL! They love John's preaching and singing!

Sounds like a fun trip before the wedding ceremony. But I was wondering if this was the official wedding or was the one in San Fransico? Didn't hear any mention of the groom's family weren't they in attendance?
And just a reminder, I am sure you know this, but it is illegal to pass on any prescription medications to anyone other than to whom they are prescribed. Guess that is the nurse coming out in me. Anyway sounds like you had fun...well except for the groom. So sad for him to be so ill on his wedding night or his second wedding night... either way what a bummer. Pray he is all better now.

You are not allowed to do a beach wedding in Aruba that is "official". You have to be legally married beforehand. They were legally married May 27th in San Jose, CA. This was the formal religious ceremony. His family was at the civil ceremony in CA, but they weren't able to make the trip to Aruba.

The classy thing to say would have been: "Congratulations;" "Sounds like you all had a great trip;" "Beach weddings are so beautiful." But, it was your right to choose to go another route, and you did.

Congratulations to Sherri and her family.

May God's blessings be on the newlyweds.
