Goodby cruel world!
 
Well, I said I would never do one of these threads. but here it is. It seems my days with you folks has come to and end.

well almost but not really. but I digress

Sadly the CEO of my company has decided my quest for 10,000 posts is detrimental to the good order of the business and thus www.apostolicsfriendsforum.com has been blocked!

that's right, against my will, I have had my playground untimely ripped from me and there is nothing I can do about it!

Now I still have access from home but there are some issues with that. I generally spend my time at home with the fam and not the computer and that will remain the way it is. Also my home computer has a hard time with this site for some reason. AFF bogs down like i was using 2 tin cans and piece of yarn.

no other site is so bad.... for those that want to get ahold of me, I can still get to GNC and God Chat and JP.

looks like my forum days are curtailed considerably.

Not that you would ever want to bypass your company's firewall ;), but you can probably get here through a proxy server. Basically, you browse to their site, then you browse here from their server. There are a ton of sites out there that allow such things.

http://www.tripass.info/ is one (at least as of right now). Just search for "anonymous surfing" or "proxy sites."

Obviously you are going to have to change jobs!

You will have to trade a little TV or magazine time at home to check in after the kids go to bed!!

I have been late for work on more than one occaision because of AFF and it's predecessors!

Ferd I have a solution for ya. Most of the time they block things through windows explorer. (I have worked at places that blocked all internet access except work sites and this always worked).

download this to your flash drive at home:

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/

plug your flash drive in on your computer at work and surf the web through firefox without putting it on the work computer.

It's been a while. Those are the ones with the best marketing so they are all I remember. I'll have to remember to get some from you should I need them in the future :)

Im to scared. that would be a "code of business conduct violation"

my company has decided that we are all call center reps and need to be watched like hawks.

crazy.

Im waiting on the CEO to come out with a letter saying "dear employee we hate you, keep up the good work!"

I have worked places like that. Eventually they figure out it doesn't work so well after all the good people have left.
