What kind of degree do you possess?
 

I'm interested in knowing how many of us here have college degrees, or are actively seeking one.

This isn't for any specific purpose, and have no fear that you will be 'checked out' for credentials.....LOL!

This is a private poll also. I think a thread about degrees was started on NFCF but out constituency has changed since then, and I'm interested in seeing how many of us have degrees.

This stems from a thread (now closed) where someone apparently believes themselves to be the only educated person here.....LOL!

So, please don't hesitate to post your educational status!

We need a new category - Bible College degree - not accredited. LOL! Sad thing is that after three years there, if I decided to start "real" college, none of it would count toward a degree. Oh well, for what I'm doing, it was what I needed.

I have a Doctor of Theology degree but I very seldom use the "Dr." title when I give my name.

With that much renewed sense of personal worth and self esteem I will have almost no good reason for throwing myself off the ledge of my cubicle!:aaa

I regret that I never had the discipline when I was younger to get an accredited degree. I've been very fortunate to work for companies where experience and common sense was just as important as a degree, and I've moved up the ladder more quickly than some degreed folks, but I know that's a thing of yesteryear.

I told my boys that I would pay for them a Bachelor's Degree, and if they wanted to continue after that, they were on their own! We will let them live at home and help them as much as we can, but I'm going to make SURE that they get their bachelors!

Bible college was the right thing for us, for what we do. But I definitely wanted my kids to get a college degree. Ashley graduated in 2005 with a degree in International Business, minor in Spanish. Zac is starting his second year of college next week, heading toward a Business major. I'm really proud of them!

My oldest, Sean, is in his second year at University of Nebraska (First year was community college) going for Criminal Justice, and my second son, Blake, is in his freshman year at Nebraska, going for a Mechanical Engineering degree.

He's making me proud, he's wanted to work with me since he was 8!

I am working on a Psychology degree, my ultimate goal is to get a Master's. If it's okay to brag and the Lord don't strike me down for too much pride, so far I'm running a 3.93 GPA.

Me too, that is one of the biggest regrets I have in life. I know that I still could do it, and I really want to. I have an Aunt who is about 12 years older than I am (almost 40) who just started college to become a teacher! I am just really terrified of it, my attention span has been really poor the last few years. I am seriously considering being tested for adult ADD. Does anybody know much about that?

My son is interested in getting an apprenticeship, but my daughter is looking at getting a Masters. I told her I would support her through a Bachelors, which she will have in about 2 1/2 years after graduation. She's starting college classes next spring, and the plan is for her to have over 40 hours of college by the time she graduates high school.

It's possible for her to have her Masters in just over four years after graduation. She's excited about that.

I told my son that I would support him through his apprenticeship as well. I want them both to be successful, and not waiting for years like I did to get an education.
