How would you feel if a Musilm was elected?

Though there are rumors that Obama is a Muslim, he does profess Christianity. Being purely hypothetical, how would you feel if he was a practicing Muslim and proud of it-and won the election? Please cast your vote in the poll-looking forward to the responses.

I have a feeling that Barak Obama is really a very secular person more involved with humanism than either Christianity or Islam.

It is clear that his "conversion" was a matter of convenience as he has documented the story himself about how when visiting a pastor in Chicago about organizing some community stuff the pastor told him he would have much more success if he were actually a part of the church community there by being a member somewhere. It was after that conversatoin that he visited Tinity and the crazy racist black helicopter loving pastor there inspired him to become a Christian.

Blasphemy, blasphemy!! Hush your mouth!!
Brother Obama is a deeply committed christian...and I have the pictures to prove it.

(And when you speak of the "crazy racist black helicopter loving pastor " ....I KNOW you're not talking about the anointed Prophet Jeremiah Wright. You know that would be even more blasphemy!)

LOL!!!!! Democrats are convinced that if you say anything, no matter how farfetched, enough times that people will believe it. Or at least enough people to win.

I laugh every time I hear Obama and Biden and all of the other Dem's spouting the DNC talking points try to act like McCain is in lockstep with GWB. One of the reasons I have disliked McCain so much over the years is because he was NOT in lockstep with his own party and President.

Re: How would you feel if a Musilm was elected?

The reason I posted this was because there was an interesting article in Newsweek where the interviewed the chairman of a Muslim society and he was discussing how hurtful it is to him that Muslim is being used as a smear this election and was wondering what happened to freedom of religion.

This being said, when I said purely hypothetical, I meant it. I know that people have their doubts about Obama's Christianity, but honestly-if someone claims Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord, who am I to question that? God knows his heart and true intentions, and I don't.

This is an email (for what that's worth) making the rounds:

This is something I've wondered about for some time now: How & why do the Muslims hate us & everyone else so much? Doesn't their God teach them to love? Of Course this applies to Canada and for that matter the whole of Western Europe as well.

Can a good Muslim be a good American? I sent that question to a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20 years. The following is his reply:

Theologically - no. Because his allegiance is to Allah, the moon god of Arabia

Religiously - no. Because no other religion is accepted by his Allah except Islam (Quran, 2:256)

Scripturally - no. Because his allegiance is to the five pillars of Islam and the Quran (Koran).

Geographically - no. Because his allegiance is to Mecca , to which he turns in prayer five times a day.

Socially - no. Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends with Christians or Jews.

Politically - no. Because he must submit to the mullah (spiritual leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and Destruction of America, the great Satan.

Domestically - no. Because he is instructed to marry four women and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34).

Intellectually - no. Because he cannot accept the American Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the Bible to be corrupt.

Philosophically - no. Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran do not allow freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam cannot co-exist. Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic

Spiritually - no. Because when we declare "one nation under God," the Christian's God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in The Quran's 99 other names.

So, after much study and deliberation....perhaps we should be very suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. They obviously cannot be both "good" Muslims and good Americans.

Call it what you wish....it's still the truth. And if that equates to "profiling" which is tantamount to murder by the liberals, then so be it.

I still think America really has no choice! Both candidates offer nothing! They all play the same game, will do and say anything to gain votes! Big money making corporations will decide who our next leader shall be.

It be wonderful if America could vote an honest person into office! I guess that's what dreaming for!...;)

There is always a choice. Voices like yours have always whined there is no difference or choice between the Republican and Democrat canidates each election but that is false, naive, and uneducated.

There is a huge difference in the Federal and Supreme Court judges that would be appointed by a Republican canidate who believes in strict constructionism and a liberal Democrat not to mention many other huge differences.

Neither canidate may represent your extremist views but at least be honest and admit that there are real and legitimate differences between the two.

Your old conspiracy theory whining about big corporations running America is amusing and the kind of excrement I have heard all of my life from nuts.

So I'm nuts:snapout

Oh well we've had one of the biggest nuts so far running this country into the ground and losing our freedom, America is still in the worst job recovery since the Great Depression, with 1.9 million private sector jobs lost in the Bush presidency.

Rhoin Want go form our own country?????:friend

I'd be extremely concerned because I view Islam to be an especially pernicious, belligerent, and oppressive totalitarian form of government masquerading as a religion.

If that was my name that you were trying to spell:tease NO...I believe under the leadership of McCain and Palin we would at least be headed in the right direction.

Under an Obama presidency we would see the collapse of our great nation, we would be thrown into chaos and a perfect set up for the anti-christ. Anyone who considers themselves a Christ-follower could not in any conscience vote for Obama.

Blessings, Rhoni

But HT, You and I can agree to disagree:friend

Re: How would you feel if a Musilm was elected?

I do not plan on voting for Barack Obama.
I just don't agree with him on many things.
In my opinion, he is ultra liberal and a pawn of the Daley Chicago machine.
However, if he is elected (and I fear that he will be) I will pray for him because he will be my President and the Bible tells me to pray for our leaders (1 Timothy 2:1-3)
Because of his policies and judges he can appoint, and with a Democratic controlled Senate and House I think some very bad things will happen that will affect us quite adversely. But, I believe our country will survive. This may lead to the end of America as we know it but not the end of America. Just as Christians have learned to cope under military dictatorships, under poor governments, under Communist governments, etc. we will have to trust in the grace of God and His help to survive. We can make it.
