Liberal Mass Media Trashes Governor Palin
 

US Weekly that recently had a fawning cover photo of Barak & Michelle Obama with the heading "Why He Loves Her" has a different kind of cover this week for the Republicans.

There is a picture of Governor and Vice Presidential running mate Sarah Palin with her newborn Downs Syndrome baby and the large title is "Babies, Lies, and Scandals".

This publication is run by the guy who runs The Rolling Stone so what should we expect.

Unfortunetely now many Americans who do not take the time to follow the news will define Governor Palin by this scandelous tabloid type cover and article as they are moving through the line at their grocery store.

I have also seen reports from these media types that have been fawning over obama that Gov. Palin's husband (gasp) got a DWI 22 years ago! Really, that was an actual news report.

these guys have been completely silent on the fact that 22 years ago, Barak Obama was walking around in a drug induced haze! by his own admission he was coked up and strung out on pot.

Palin's HUSBAND (not her) got a DWI 22 years ago and this is disqualification. Barak Obama was a dope head and that shows his courage.

I know its against the law to take a baseball bat to someone's knees but sometimes....

The media feeding frenzy crossing appears to be a coordinated effort to destroy her before her canidacy takes off. I think it shows how much they must fear that she will peel off some votes from Obama.

I would be embarressed to be a jounalist or publisher with this kind of skewed coverage. Obama is treated like a celebrity with no scrunity at all while Governor Palin is torn to shreds.

If you check out the Drudgereport.com right now, you'll see an excellent example of media bias. They show 2 US magazine covers.. one of the Obamas, and one of Gov Palin. Take a good look at both those covers , and he bias is shamefully obvious.

Bias works both ways and is equally ignorant in my opinion. There are many outrageously right wing outlets who are just as biased. Either way they show an inability to be independent thinkers and are simply mouthpieces and propaganda pushers. The adherents of either side constantly complain about the bias of the other, but fail to acknowledge the equal level of bias in their outlet of choice.

Please name these right wing "outlets". I have a feeling you are going to refer to blogs, internet sites ,etc that are far from mainstream.

Liberal Democrats have the mainstream media in their pocket. We are talking the media outlest in TV and publishing that have tremendous impact and reach.

Conservatives have Fox News Channel for TV while Liberals have MSNBC, CNN, and the ABC, NBC, and CBS network news divisions.

Conservatives have The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Times while liberals have virtually all other major daily newspapers including The New York Times, Washington Post, LA Times, Chicago Tribune, Boston, etc, etc, etc.

Between the mass media liberal bias and the 90% plus bias of liberals in Higher Education I am amazed that a Republican or Conservative has been elected to any office in the last 20 years.

Tstew...yes, bias works both ways. But unless you've been living under a rock the past 20 years or so, you might have noticed that the majority of the so-called "mainstream" media has a liberal bias; sometimes it's a latent bias, often it's quite blatant... but it's clearly there.

If you seriously think that's not the case, maybe you havent been paying attention. Or maybe you have your own bias that prevents you from seeing it.

I know that just the appointment of Governor Palin got me fired up! It is hard to get excited about McCain although he is much better than the alternative.

Palin however is exciting! A woman who proves you can be feminine, attractive, and be tough, smart, and a good executive.

There are some right wingers who are pretty far out just like there are some pretty far out left wingers.

Racism and Sexism are both alive and well.
Some racists will vote for Obama because he is partially African American
and some racists will vote against him because he is partially African American. I guess we can't really call him African American because he is as much Caucasian as he is African American.

Some sexists will vote for a woman because she is a woman and some sexists will vote against a woman because she is a woman.
