How do you view Dan A?

How are you effected by Dan A's Posting personality?

I love Dan A.

Might disagree with him on stuff. But I'm not intimidated by him nor does he anger me. :tease

At times his post illicit the other responses.

Re: How do you view Dan A?

This should be interesting.... Dan is a person I admire for his faith, for his willingness to stand up for what he feels God has shown him in the word.

In many things I am in agreement with Dan in fact I can't think of a lot of things I disagree with him on....

...but then again I haven't read everything he's posted.

I think, once Dan gets married he'll have better things to do, then forums, like washing dishes ....;)

I can't honestly vote because I don't have time to read his posts (or very many of anyone else's) unless they get reported. :D

From my view..he is on ignore. I don't have time for contentious baptists on an Apostolic forum.

Re: How do you view Dan A?

I couldn't categorize Dan Alicea into any one of those choices.

Dan Alicea is my brother. I love it that he is a fellow one-stepper. There are not many of us in Apostolic churches who will openly admit to that doctrine. But I don't consider him to be a brother just because he is a one-stepper. I have lots of brothers and sisters that are three-steppers. (I also have lots of brothers and sisters who are Baptist, Roman Catholic, etc.)

Dan can be pretty abrasive in some of his posts.

Dan spends time in the Word and that is evident in some of his posts.

Dan does not just parrot the party line.
He thinks for himself.

No, Dan has us on the brain. He has to come on and attack Acts 2:38 believers to see how much of a rise he can get out of us. He has the same attitude as the Pharisees and Sadducees when they thought they had clever questions that would get a rise out of Jesus and trip Him up. He really needs a hobby.

Bro. Ellis, a little more Biblical accuracy to your testimony:

Repented (sins forgiven, Blood applied) March 28, 1955
Baptized in water in Jesus' Name(sins remitted, Born of water) October 27, 1955
Received the HGB (Holy Ghost Baptism)(power over sin, born of Spirit) May 20, 1956

The Spirit, The Water, and the Blood. Why deny any part of your New Birth?

Actually, I like it better the way I present it in my signature.
That reflects the way I actually believe, and agrees with the way it was taught by the pioneers of the "Apostolic Faith." The idea that a person was not really saved until he/she had completed all three steps of Acts 2:38 was a later innovation that has pretty well hijacked the Apostolic Faith.

I have no problems with Dan.

If I spent my energy letting everyone know on this forum how I feel about each post.

I would be keeping my mind open to see and hear others point of view.

Just out of a genuine curiosity here, and I realize by openly answering you may be opening yourself up for a lot of controversy and then again maybe not. BUT would you also be willing to consider Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses your brothers?

How about the Muslim religion that DOES view Jesus as being a great Prophet sent from God and indeed call him Messiah in the Quran?

My son likes to sneak up behind you and yell real close to your ear to scare the tarnation out of you... :faint

Does this mean he'll end up with a similar characteristic of DA?

I like DA. But then again I don't have much interaction with him. Except for when he was pretty new to the forum and he didn't like the use of my 'terms' for people's characteristics.

For the record...I believe he's choleric/sanguine...with a touch of melancholy. :winkgrin

okay here goes. I have a very dear friend who is mormon and probaby more Godly minded than many Apostolic/Pentecostals that I know. I am not saying that I consider all mormon's brothers but I do this particulare one. Only because I know his life and see the fruit he produces. Call me what you want but if there is a mormon in heaven I know which one it will be.
Just glad it is not up to me. God is in control of it all and whoever he lets in is fine with me just as long as I am one of them. =)

Re: How do you view Dan A?

MY DOCTOR IS A JW...SHE PLANS FOR ME TO LIVE WITH THEM IN PARADISE...In fact several JW have told me that...
Do I think JW´s are saved? That question is up to the JUDGE OF THE EARTH. If it depended on me most everybody would be saved although in my prayers today I turned someone/s over to SATAN...as PAUL once did but that is far from my personality.
I usually err on the side of mercy.
