Death of Justin Jones, formerly of Grace Church
 

Our Senior High youth pastor and his family just moved to Houston (big promotion at his "day" job), and they visited Grace Church last night. She called me today and said that they got up last night and announced that the youth pastor, who was around 30, had just died from an aneurysm. Of course the place was very upset, and the Jones weren't there to preach. They had a good service anyway, but I was just wondering if anyone on here knew him or had heard this?

I know of a young man named Justin Jones who recently died of a brain aneurysm........but, I didn't know he attended Grace Church......I believe his father's name is Jimmy Jones.

Yes, his father pastored (pastors), I believe, a UPCI church in the Dallas area. Chuck is very friendly and showed me lots of love when I attended Grace.

He's married to Urshanna ... a grandaughter of Urshan.

Chuck's father pastored a church in Grand Rapids, MI, and left the UPCI several years ago. Chuck (Chuckie, as we used to call him) was with Bro. Kershaw in the Dallas area for a while.......his dad, Chuck Sr., turned the church in GR over to another man a couple of years ago, but not sure if he stayed in Michigan, or moved south.

He stayed then from what I remember. I have heard from Chucks cousin that they either moved down here or were going to since but its been a couple of yrs since I heard anything about it...

Just called the church ... spoke to the operator.

Justin Jones ... pastored the youth at Grace for some time in the past ... left over a year ago....

Yes. Justin Jones was the son of Bro. & Sis. Jimmy Jones, who pastored for years in southern CA. For reference his mother, Dana Jones is the sister of Jimmy Shoemake and Anita Hodges. She also is a previous Western District Ladies President. It is a very tragic loss for them.

The man that past away is Justin Jones. He leaves behind a wife and a 10 month old daughter. He was very sweet and his wife is having a HORRIBLE time with this lose.

Pastor Colegrove's old church is now pastored by Bro. Jim Hogg and he (Pastor Colegrove) started up another church.

I'm between Melodie and Art Colegrove in age and we used to call Chuck Jr. ... Chuckie Paul.

Justin was formerly our youth pastor. He was really a sweet young man. He was Pastors Brett and Scott's cousin. He is greatly missed but, I'm sure enjoying his heavenly reunion with the Bishop
