HELP - CD with Pictures
 

O.K. all you techies out there. I have a CD with pictures of Jim Griffin's 50th birthday, Ron Lennox's Emmaus trip, Nahkoe's homecoming. I put the CD in my computer and it runs but nothing comes up. I know they are on there because I saw the pictures at Target...so tell me what to do - PLEASE:friend

You probably don't have a program that will "read" them.

Well they will come up on the walmart photo shop but will not let me e-mail them. They are from Target but coming up on the Wal-mart program.

Well, I'll take them to work tomorrow and see what I can do on a real computer. Mine is a 1998 and I would trade it in but it has years of memories on it.

O.K. I sent a bunch to Renda...hopefully she can post them where they need to go. You'd think after 5 years I'd learn to post pictures.

If you go to My Computer, open it, then double-click on the CD ROM drive, it should pop up with a list of files or folders. From there you should be able to double click and open individual images in some default program.

It's really very easy - - try this.

Go to Photobucket.com - - sign up.

Once you are signed in browse where you have saved the pictures and choose them. They will load up on photo bucket.

Then copy the url address and post here.

You probably don't have a CD that autoplays. Is it win 98?

Anyways just go to my computer like someone said and open the it directly

Or open an image program and then click on file and "open" and then browse to the CD player.

Try downloading Picasa from Google. It's free. Have it scan the PC for images

You need xp or 2000 for picasa

I tried this and it says you have to have win 2000. Mine is 1998. Thank you for trying.:friend

Then just try another user name (and write it down so you'll remember). You might have signed up already and just forgot the password.

Goodness Rhoni, how in the world are you surviving with Win 98?

You can get a nice laptop nowadays for around 450 with vista

My work progarm is not compatible with Vista but my computer has just about exceeded all memory:friend

You need to "back up" the files you have on there with it being that old you could experience a crash and lose everything.

Prax, she is making progress when I visited her a few weeks ago the cache had not been emptied since 1998 either. LOL
