Tina Fey did another great Sarah Palin

on SNL this weekend. The resemblance is really uncanny.

When Tina accepted her award the other night she said she can't wait until the election is over so she can stop playing that woman.

Well if McCain/Palin are elected she'll probably have to get used to it.

Her imitation of Palin is very good. Too bad the real Couric never referred to her as Governor Palin, it's hard to believe they missed the opportunity to slight her yet again. I wonder why we don't see spoofs of Obama looking like Curious George staring at a world map with no idea about foreign policy? Maybe a little skit about Kissinger saying one thing and Obama insisting he said something else and then Kissinger coming on and emphatically stating Obama was wrong about what Kissinger said and thought.

Oh wait it's only funny when they make fun of conservative people.

Amen! It's starting to really annoy me. :club Although, honestly, I'm scared to death about the debate on Thursday with Biden.

I'm not scared about the debate. I'm happy!

I hope she trips over herself, repeatedly, making her demise quicker and thus, less painful for her and others.

I hope more for Biden that he does not say ANYTHING that he will regret later.

She's not ready to lead America if McCain dies in his sleep.

She's the wrong choice for VP, the wrong choice for America.

Biden doesn't bother me but the moderator was intentionally picked to play "Gotcha" with Palin. I read one report that said Biden should just sit back and let Gwen Ifill challenge her. Sounds like a reasonable response by the media. It really is amazing how slanted these debates are in terms of moderators. Jim Lehrer, and Gwen Ifill from PBS, Tom Brokaw from NBC, and Bob Schieffer from CBS.

First Obama is not ready to lead America if Biden dies or not. Second Palin has been criticized for not saying anything she will regret while Biden has been saying plenty that my middle school kid knows is off (Like who was President in 1929).

Finally you hope this because the media has primed everyone to believe she is a bumbling idiot, thanks SNL.

I predict she will do just fine, and make less mistakes then Joseph "blowhard" Biden.

The media has not primed Gov. Palin to look like a bumbling idiot.

You and I are in the same geographical area, maybe 20 mins apart right now. I have seen VERY LITTLE if anything at all, that presents Gov. Palin or her family in a negative light.

Everyday last week, I saw a newspaper or magazine where Gov. Palin was on the front of-- that's given all that's happening right now.

SNL is not the media-- it's tv, it's Hollywood, but no one gets their news from SNL.

Britt Hume says she will do fine and he is the most unbiased man in the news that I know.

Sen. Obama has been elected by your fellow countrymen, Gov. Palin was hand selected by Sen. McCain. HUGE DIFFERENCE!

Many people think Sen. Obama is ready to lead our country.

Sen. McCain thinks Gov. Palin will help him win this election.

The selection of Gov Palin is smacks of BLATANT TOKENISM-- causing me to lose all respect (politically speaking) for the Presidential "leader" of a party that used to stand against such stuff.

His politics is exploitive. She's a pon. I hope they lose.

SNL reflects the media. People don't get news much anymore just opinion. I must admit other than the headlines of the Post and the Times and don't do local media. I don't care to watch how many crack heads shot each other on channel 5. The National media has worked very hard at making Palin look dumb, from Couric refusing to refer to her as Governor, to the chant of the left that she is unfit to be VP because McCain might die.

Katie Couric is an idiot. And worse, she's an idiot who thinks she has Albert Einstein's IQ. Kind of like Matt Damon pontificating about Sarah Palin's lack of qualifications and how "scary" it was that she is a Creationist! Does no one understand the dangerous ideals that they suggest? Basically Matt Damon suggested that anyone who believes in Creation is unqualified for public office!!!

And for Katie Couric to refuse to refer to Palin as the Governor that she is??? Such disrespect ought to be reprimanded, but instead it's applauded.

The liberal media and liberal hollywood are the REAL kool-aid drinkers, and they want to FORCE us to drink out of the same pitcher. Talk about a Jim Jones mentality! :crazy

Anyway, Sarah Palin is a much prettier version of herself than Tina Fey, and I didn't appreciate them making her look stupid--which she obviously is not. I actually appreciate it when a politician can say, "I'm sorry, I don't know the answer, I'll get back to you on that." Most would just lie on the spot.

I wish SNL had made as much fun of Katie Couric as they did SP.

Jermyn Davidson 09-29-2008 07:11 AM

Re: Tina Fey did another great Sarah Palin

I did not see the Couric interview. I don't watch Couric-- she seems empty.

Had she interviewed Sen. McCain or Sen. Obama without referring to him as Sen. Obama I would be shouting foul too!

Sen. McCain's military experience demands respect.

If Couric had just given the appearance to have slighted Sen. Obama in that way, I think we would be hearing more of an uproar.

Stuff like that happens at the local level-- but at the national level, there's little tolerance for anything that could be perceived as reflecting racism, jmho.

In a dimly lit cave, dark shadowy figures are marching in a circle around a fire and chanting,

"oh wee oh. oh oh.
Palin's not fit, oh oh.
oh wee oh, oh oh...."

They all have to say something along those lines so that they can impress their Hollywood friends with how "courageous" they are. The reality is Tina Fey stands to make A LOT of money if Palin gets elected with McCain. Four years AT LEAST of job security!

I met the Smothers Brothers once in the airport and they were the nicest guys. Then I heard that one brother put in his little political dig in his acceptance speech. The pressure to parrot everyone's expectation that you are in the tank for the Dems is so great in Hollywood it really causes people to do some pathetic things.

I hope SNL and the liberal press and Hollywood and the Dems continue to treat Ms. Palin with arrogance, condescension and smugness.

The message it sends to the rest of normal America is this is how they view us as well. It only helps our cause when liberals reveal their obsesion with asserting their superiority over everyone else. In the end, Obama's aloofness and connection to that same elitist attitude will be one of the big reasons mainstream Americans will not vote for him.

I'll say it again deacon, I like your way of thinking.

I wish Sarah Palin would've answered Couric when asked about foreign policy experience, "I have as much FP experience as Barak Obama, and I am the bottom of this ticket. So measured against a man who is a candidate for president of the US, I think my FP experience is more than adequate."

The arguments against palin are so lame because all of the strikes the liberals try to use against her are a reflection of what Clinton campaigned against Obama with. They only violate her with such poisonous words and lines of attack because they are very very afraid. They know what potential she has to ruin their perveived monopoly on women voters. They know she exposes their hypocrisy when it comes to women and their rights. Women to the Democratic party are simply PAWNS for what they are really bloodthirsty for: POWER.

every single argument you have against Sarah Palin in the above could be said of Joe Biden. that is funny!

Deac, How come we can answer these questions so well?

Sarah Palin has the same experience as Obama, GWB, Bill Clinton, Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Carter, John F. Kennedy, Henry Truman, Franklin Roosevelt.

We can all agree that some of those names represent idiots in office, yet others of those names represent some of the best Presidents America has ever had.

I was talking with someone about that this morning.

The only way Biden loses the debate is if he loses his composure and gets too condescending and biting with her. That's his tendency, and they'd better make sure he avoids it at all cost.

If I were advising him, I'd basically tell him that if she's talking, she's losing. The key to it from Biden's aspect is he has to let her crash her own plane and not be the one to be seen shooting her down.

She'll do it on her own, but he can't be seen as the one doing it to her.
