Choose one-AFF,Country Club or Arena of Influence?
 

Someone remarked to me recently that some here at AFF is viewed by some to be more of a place fellowship ... kinda like a Serority or Fraternity House ... social or a Country Club ....

While others see it as an arena of ideas ... where influence can be exerted ... and debate is highly desired and maybe even blood sport?

If you had to choose which of the two views ... best reflects the AFF ... which one would you choose?

Country Club or Arena of Influence?

Do you think that these two approaches contradict each other?
Is there a happy median?
Does your view fluctuate depending on forum tone ... threads ... etc.?

You are the only one that I know of that thinks it's a vehicle to influence.

I believe it's a place to fellowship, share ideas, challenge each other and learn.

I wish I could remember a description Elder Epley gave of one of these forums. He called it something like a place to spit and whittle. Maybe if he reads this he can correct me.

I think we've all got our minds made up on this stuff and won't consider any change.

I definitely think it's just as much a place of ideas and influential as it is about meeting new people and sharing our lives.

It started out as a place of fellowship for me. I avoid a lot of threads because I just get tired of mean spirited posts. I guess it has influenced me in that regard. I guess it's just not as fun anymore. And I miss some old posters, although some of the new ones are all right.:)

Hmmmmm......I think it is both.

Fellowship on the inside and influence on the outside.

Sometimes it's kind of like an arena with the bleachers full.

Which almost makes it like Big Brother with the family interacting and everyone else watching. The number of lurkers makes me think like this sometimes. :D

I like it for the fellowship...there are other forums but some have so few ladies...here seems the right place for me...


And Daniel has been a terrible influence on me...we even started a ministry...the bonnet ministry. We are still waiting for the tithes from our members...for more information please call Daniel at 3 in the morning...that is his prayer time...he will give all answers in the spirit to you carnal folks...
