For the Liberal TV Watchers in the Forum...

Hey all...
I tuned in late to the Deal or No Deal show last evening, here in Indy- and the contestant on there had his mom, his sister, and a female friend on the show- they looked Apostolic. Did anyone else see this??

He won over 400,000.00!!!! And a smart car...

Thank you, Jesus.

:whistle

None that I know...

I'm sure there are some who do though. There are also Baptists who are very conservative in dress.

You guys seen the Collingsworth Family? (recording artists; Gaithers, etc..) Very holiness in dress, looks just Pentecostal, but they're Conservative Holiness Wesleyans.

This is a thread for liberal tv watchers.

In all fairness, shouldn't there also be a thread for conservative tv watchers, moderate tv watchers, etc?

I hardly consider myself a "liberal tv watcher". I thought she was being rhetorical

Yes, I thought they looked Apostolic. They were all overweight...and he was hugh !!

He did refer to himself as a "babe magnet"..so yes, I'd say they were Apostolic.

Isn't it a sad commentary that they "looked apostolic"? Wouldn't it be great to be able to know no man after the flesh, but by the spirit.

The more I observe, the more it seems conservative apostolic dress violates the principle of not drawing attention to oneself. I'm not talking about being modest, but about taking modesty so far overboard it draws attention to the attire.

The Bible has explicit directions that wardrobe should not draw attention to oneself.

Violating that principle is just as bad as violating the prinicple of gender separation and the principle of modesty.

Hence the problem with legalism. Selective application of principles.
