My Friend Was Baptised In Jesus Name Today!

All glory goes to God, after witnessing to a former Baptist about being born of both Water and Spirit, my friend went down in Jesus Name today after church. He had already received the Holy Ghost speaking in tongues, but Lord was it a sight to see when he came up out the water speaking yet again in Gods heavenly language.

WITNESSING PAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To God be the glory!

Get this. So I did a follow up call and the devil already started messing. My friend called a fellow female church friend of his to tell him about his new found joy about being baptised today. She got upset and told him "Dont go around telling people because you should have waited to be baptised at your own church" But get this, his church does not even have a baptisimal pool and they only baptise once a year (and they came to be "new age" apostolic). I told him that it did not matter where his baptisim took place and to continue to praise God for now being BORN AGAIN! He then agreed.

Church folk kill me! Jelous because someone did not get baptised at there own church......crazy........*sigh* nevertheless I rejoice.

It is great to come here and read praise reports. God is good. We had two awesome services today and had people baptised as well. This gospel still works for sure.

First of all it crazy to me that a "church" would not have their own baptismal pool.
And its crazy that they would only baptize once per year - highly unscriptural.

Religious jealousy is a terrible thing. Anyway...

PH, is this brother going to go be going back to his baptist church for Sunday services or an Apostolic church?

This is the deal, he left the baptist church 1 year ago and had been attending a "new age" apostolic church here in Atlanta. The church has had "a" baptism since he had been there however he felt that since he spoke in tongues thats all that mattered. He also thought that being baptised in the titles was sufficient. Well, it is apparent this brother is NOT being fed in his current church home. While visiting another apostolic church, he came up to me and asked me after church for a ride to the bus stop. I had no problem with that since wayyyyyyy back in the day I too use to take the bus to church and people would pick me up from time to time. It allowed me to start talking to this brother which opened up his story about being baptist, then going to an apostolic church for the last year but being hurt and bruised by this church. Instantly I started asking him basic apostolic doctrine questions to see how much he knew about our faith. He really did not know much and had sooooooooo many questions. (this was like taking candy from a baby......I was so overjoyed because I boast in being an apostolic scholar). What better person to explain the basics of salvation but me (All glory goes to God). We exchanged numbers and I started to witness via phone to him. I then offered to take him to lunch to talk more about Christ. This then lead to him praying for the revelation of the Oneness (which for some reason he felt that Jesus and God was 2 persons and not ONE). Long story short, he was baptised today and now has plans to continue going to a Bible believing Apostolic ministry......
