I have a lot of family already there in NC for the GC.


This will be a first ever ( that i know of for the UPC)

I hope it's a true report! while I am not for campaigning much at these events, the McCain/Palin Ticket is far closer to the UPC stances on the issues.

The year they said Bush was going to be there I was a bit disappointed when he showed up on video only.

Someone mentioned ,what about her earrings? I sang at a UPC church 2 sundays ago with earrings on. I think they are ok with that.

I do not beleive most of the upc preachers are ok with earrings. A very small, backslidden amt. of them may be.

Even if a pastor is not ok with earrings they would be kind to a guest,they would teach on such when they have the service for teaching what they expect of the saints in way of church standards but they wouldn't treat a guest in a unkind manner.

Well if Sarah Palin is at the GC. perhaps it might inspire her to dig deeper in the word,and draw closer to God.If she does speak I hope The Holy Ghost falls and a move of God breaks out.

I would think Sandra meant most ministers would be okay with accepting Sarah Palin wearing earrings to address them. She's not UPC, so they can't hold her to their standards.

It's just like allowing Bill Clinton to speak at Arkansas and Louisiana camps. He sure doesn't hold the morals that UPC expects, but he was still allowed to speak.

I don't see how she can be seen going to a major UPC event. Maybe to visit a small church but to speak at the general conference can't be true. There are just to many ways the media can spin this into something bad.
