I got this email from fellow church members! If we know what's good for us, we better get out and vote next month!



Dear Friend,

You're not going to believe this.

In the same week that the No on 8 campaign launched an ad that labeled as "lies" claims that same-sex marriage would be taught in schools to young children, a first grade class took a school-sponsored trip to a gay wedding. Eighteen first graders traveled to San Francisco City Hall Friday for the wedding of their teacher and her lesbian partner, The San Francisco Chronicle reported. The school sponsored the trip for the students, ages 5 and 6, taking them away from their studies for the same-sex wedding.

The wedding was officiated by San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, who arrogantly welcomed the arrival of same-sex marriage by saying "The door's wide open now. It's gonna happen, whether you like it or not."

It's no wonder that the No on 8 campaign is fighting tooth and nail to get our ads pulled off the air. It's because they're true. Not only will schoolchildren be taught about same-sex marriage if Prop 8 fails, it's already happening.

To make sure Californians know the truth, we need you to do three things right now:

Forward this email to your friends and family right now, and ask them to forward it to their friends. Every California voter needs to know about this.
Watch the ad the No on 8 campaign doesn't want you to see, and donate to keep it on the air.
Please volunteer today, and we'll put you out in the field talking to voters directly -- as thousands are already doing this weekend.

Mark,
I was reading the news article to my husband yesterday. As you know we have a son, DIL with three children in CA.

The information is definitely NOT a bogus e-mail circulation - it's in the news less someone doesn't believe it.

Lord, I would be furious if my child was in that school!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For those that don't know it, San Francisco has had a Gay Holiday
for sometime in the schools. They have gay stars and leaders come
and speak to the kids and have a big fun day etc.

SF tried to force this day on the rest of CA. but the people
stood up and made their voices heard. That's why I know we
can make a difference.

If the marriage is forced on us through these Judges, this will
eventually effect EVERYONE - that's what people who are not
in CA are NOT GETTING

Sure it will affect everyone!!!! Why do you live there? LOL! Why do they live there? My DIL asked if I thought we would ever like to live in CA. I said, "Are you kidding me? I live in the Bible Belt. I'm not living with a bunch of Democrats!" :toofunny

Don't parents have to sign permission slips for field trips? So the parents that object just don't let their children go.

The fact that it was their teacher who was getting married is a large part of the reason. It's not like they went to witness a random gay wedding....

are here with traditional values PO. The hispanic community alone
is very traditional.

The problem we have is San Francisco and Los Angeles. they have an
unlimited money and power base with hollywood. BUT! it's not neccessarily the will of the people.

Orange county, Riverside area, the central Valley and San Diego
are actually more conservative then you might know

I didn't even know where his church was located. lol

Well, you take up for that state. My DIL feels the same way, our son would love to come home to Texas if God would let him do it.

if there are so many against the liberal thinking, why arent they speaking out against their state image?

The silent majority has been just that, SILENT.

and so have the REST of the silent conservatives in the USA
you cannot deny that Theresa. The church has been silent and asleep
and perhaps only now starting to awaken just a little.

why are they SILENT?

the vast majority of the rest of the US thinks california is a very liberal state...with its oddball "republican" governor. ((b/c they are so democratic in thinking but elect a republican who was an actor...such an oxymoron))

but if the majority is a silent conservative bunch, why arent they speaking out about the moral decay of their state? Isnt gay marriage allowed statewide now?

Where has silence gotten anyone? No where....here we are in a morally defunct country that allows gay marriage, took prayer out of school and supports abortion...among other things..

silence is just saying what everyone else is doing is OK.

If you dont speak out against something, you might as well be FOR it..

BUT a liberal Judge in San Francisco Over turned it ( the will of the people) and have forced it on the rest of the state!!!!!

Really what they did was against the Law - we are going back to

I wouldn't have signed the permission slip for my kid to go on the trip. Also, I would not have allowed my child to attend school that day and the school would have lost the money they receive for my child that day.

Sam you are SO right!

People - please help us pray that Prop 8 will pass. I understand that there are similar propositions in other states - There is so much at stake in this! Our very parental rights can and will be stripped from us if this passes! The following video of what happened in Mass. is just the beginning

First....it is San Francisco....kinda does not surprise me. San Francisco is a city unto itself.

It really is sad. And for people to back someone like Barak Obama who supports this...not gay marriages, per se...BUT, I have a feeling that will change if CA passes Prop 8....so goes Barak.

One thing about Arnold....he vetoed that Harvey Milk Day.

Just a Warning about school permission slips.

I actually received one from my kid's school that was worded:

"Unless you return this slip indicating that you do NOT want your child to attend this field trip, we will assume it is OK and your child will be permitted to attend."

Needless to say, I called the Administration and absolutely "BLEW UP"....

But point is, other schools are using this same new wording. BE AWARE!!!

Sadly the people here on AFF don't get it. They think because
they are not in CA. it wont effect them but they are mistaken.
They brush it off as just being "Calif." and that it will never
touch them.

You better think again People. Maybe not today, but it will by
the time your kids and grandkids come around
