ANOTHER Hair thread....

If you're looking to argue over the long and short of it, you've opened the wrong thread. :D

I just thought I'd start something different since I NEVER wear my hair up... and my 13 yr old daughter is giving me a "new look" tonight for hubby and I to go to a special dinner at church.

It looks nice in the book... but we'll see when she gets finished if I need to go wash out all the hairspray and start over. :D

Ladies who are keeping their hair longer... can you share some of your favorite hair styles?

SILVER.

And I'm beginning to wonder just what I've gotten myself into by letting my 13 yr old fix my hair.

I think it's sounds fun! Just go with it!!!!!

This is very easy (or you can make it more fancy with curls around it). Pull your hair back into a pony tail at the nape of your neck. If you use a nice barrette all you do is roll your hair up (rolling under) and pin it. It doesn't take many pins to hold it. If you use a pony tail elastic than take a small amount of hair and wrap it around the elastic to hid it. I have also curled that piece with rod curlers so I have some curl on top of the roll. Very easy and it works well with hair that is just below the shoulder to longer hair depending on how thick your hair is.

LOL! Tina!!! I let my daughter fix my hair, for church, when she was 13!!!

I looked like a water sprinkler, but I had to wear it so I wouldn't hurt her feelings!

13 yr old gave up... 17 yr old took over. I have half my head covered in hot sticks. I feel like my hair weighs 100 lbs.... Can't wait to see what this looks like.

He wouldn't care if I went to the dinner without them taking the curlers out of my hair.... as long as I go without complaining.

It's a FORMAL dinner... and I HATE having to really dress up.

Whatever happens, no matter how awful it may look wear it with pride, after all her feelings may get hurt. Then again some of these kids are pretty good with a can of spray and some hot stick, have fun and enjoy the mother and daughter thing, take pics. I’m sure years from now you’ll both look back and laugh, and she’ll say mom, why did you ever leave the house looking like that, you can smile and say because I love you....;)

P.S My son made me a paper hat once with real flowers, ok wild weeds when he was five, for my b-day. I wore it to church, just the look in his eyes and his smile was worth any laugh I may have gotton. He 21 now, and I still have that hat in my hope chest pressed and stashed away.

You can't go wrong when all the hair is in sticks.
