Chick-Fil-A

You guys have one of these? I went once and had a sandwich...not too impressed. But then I got a coupon for chicken strips and tried them. Those were the best chicken strips ever...they tasted like fresh, real chicken, not the frozen stuff you get elsewhere.

Then I had their nuggets...again same thing. I'm hooked! :-)

I am totally hooked on the biz, and the CEO's commitment to spreading the gospel.

Re: Chick-Fil-A

I'm impressed with them... probably more their service level than their food, although their food is good. Their service motto is along the lines of 'whatever it takes to get a happy customer to come back.' I've seen workers walking people to their cars with umbrellas when it was raining (not kidding).

I understand it's Mr. Cathy's commitment to the Gospel that underlies the service aspect of the business. He's a pretty neat guy. I've heard him interviewed on Dobson's radio show as well as Moody's Primetime America radio show.

Such sweet beautiful children...

Yes, that is precious giving their people a chance to go to church.

The manager of our Chick Fil A goes to our church; they are a great organization! They give scholarships for their teen workers for college. They are very aware of family needs of their workers. AND THEY HAVE CAFFEINE FREE DIET COKE, which is a rarity and one of the only places I can get a cola!! I love their bagels for breakfast and I love their nuggets, Southwest chicken salad, chicken salad sandwich, soup.........just about everything.

We have a girl who just returned from a 6 month missions trip, and at the airport, she was desperately hunting for a Chick Fil A in Dallas. Never found one, but she went as soon as she got home.

While I admire their stand on spreading the gospel, Raising Canes has better chicken.

None in our fair city. I ate there in Denver and wasn't impressed. Guess I ordered the wrong thing.
When I visit Denver again I'll give them another chance.

Re: Chick-Fil-A

We don't hardly have them in Ca. - none in Northern CA. and only a handful in southern CA.

So, I made it a point to try one when I was back east. I kept hearing how good it was. I too, like the others, was not impressed.

Maybe I ordered the wrong thing as well? I think I had a chicken sandwich- didn't taste so special.

So, first you go get your coffee at one place (starbucks), then
drive over for chicken mini's at another place?

Chick Fil A is actually lower fat than most. They advertise as trying to meet healthy guidelines.

Once a month on Wed. night, we have an "Encounter Service" at our church. Always before the service, we have a Chick-Fil-A meal where you can either get nuggets or a sandwich, chips & one of their great brownies. It's a big hit, because it's one night no one has to cook!

BUT it's all about personal choice...not one region of the country or not....unhealthy is a choice, not a southern trait

They didn't invent the chicken, just the chicken sandwich. I love the organization, strips are better than the sandwich.
