LSU does not need to hang its head about this game. They played a great game until the end. The defense was outstanding. We have a freshman quarterback with a hurt back up that has not developed into polished quarterback yet. LSU will rise again!

LSU did play a good game, since I live in Alabama I just had to run on a bit.

Actually you didn't need that to happen, and it didn't. The Gators need to play an undefeated Tide team in the SEC championship game and now it's all set up for them.

That's true. I didn't factor in how beating a number 1 team would set the Gators up. I just hope for the sake of a good game that they don't play Texas Tech because that could get pretty ugly pretty quickly.

The Gators are now set up... to be crushed by the Alabama Crimson Tide!

Well I hope your right.....but I definitely think that as far as the line is concerned Alabama will be a 5-6 point underdog. Probably a first for an undefeated #1 playing a 1 loss team on a neutral site.

So you really think it would be a blowout in the Gators favor? That offensive line for Texas Tech is pretty strong(avg weight is like 315 lbs). Well we'd have to wait and see....probably won't happen though unless Tech gets by OU.

I really don't see them stopping the Gator offense. They finally have it rolling after starting pretty slow. And you all better tie Saban to a tree...he doesn't like to let the grass grow beneath his feet. :)

I don't think Tech can handle Florida's speed and power. By the time you come out of the SEC, you are pretty battle tested. TT barely beat a Texas team that played it's flattest, most uninspired game in years.

Yeah they barely beat them on the scoreboard but they outgained them by about 220 total yards so they dominated the game but Texas was tired after playing 3 top 10 opponents in a row.

The BCS game most everyone wants to see is Southern Cal vs Florida.

I'll be honest. I'm tired of seeing the preferential treatment SC gets in some of the polls. When they lost, they were still above teams that they had no business being above in my opinion.

But I think that everything is adjusted now....and those were the human polls that were propping them up.

What I want to see is 2 mid-majors making it into the BCS(boise st & ball st)but if Oregon St. wins out they win the PAC 10 title by virtue of their win over USC. USC would then take away one of those at-large bids, cause more than likely the SEC and the BIG12 are going to get the other at-large slots, so that would leave room for only one.

Patience, patience, patience.....you know tbey had to start a freshmen quarterback ahead of schedule, but just wait till next year. Jarrett Lee will be a good one. In my opinion, the problem is that head coach....with that kind of talent on both sides of the ball they should be in the top 5 every year.

Ryan Perriloux being thrown off the team hurt though.

Would you prefer to have him and a national championship?

Well I'm not really up to snuff as to what happened in the Ryan Perriloux situation to comment, but it sure would've been alot more interesting of an SEC race with him playing for them.

he was pretty much an idiot. I understand the issue of wanting to place character above talent, but I don't think I would have made the move without solid backup or options. I think that it is unfair to the rest of the team who has worked hard and deserve their best shot at a national championship. For many of the kids, this will be their last season of playing any kind of football in their life. For others, the potential of a NFL career lies heavily in the ultimate success of a team. I've seen many kids have their stock rise dramatically based on their performance in a national championship game when everybody in America is watching.

Again I hope you are right, but they are going to have to play like they did in the first half against Georgia for the whole game just to have a chance against the Gators. Alabama has yet to play a complete game this year.

This game also has the potential of getting ugly!!!

Tstew I have thought about this post this weekend and finally decided to respond. I think the coach was right. Although I would love for my Tigers to be winning it is more important to me that the principal of right and wrong be adhered too.

A coach at some point and time has to draw a line and not cross over it, no matter the cost.

I think that is what is wrong with America today, we overlook to many things that are wrong because we want the win or more money, or whatever the case may be. JMO :friend
