How long did it take you to vote?

Being from a small town that adjoins some big towns we have some advantage.

At@ 8;15 this morning I walked right into my polling place and cast my vote.

In and out in less than 5 minutes.

No line /no waiting.

Get out and vote!!

There was a big rush just before people left to go to work.

They'll be another one at lunch time and after 4 pm

my brother just went to vote- he's going to call me and let me
know what the line was like

No wait here either. Our precinct is rural and small population-wise. We vote at a campground in the woods. :D

Re: How long did it take you to vote?

Well, I could have been in and out in five minutes, if we didn't have quite possibly the longest ballot in the country (4 pages), and a computerized voting machine that's not the easiest to use. There was no line and open voting booths when I early voted, but it still took a while to fill out the whole stupid ballot.

But, I stopped and got my free cup of Starbucks afterward!:dance

Took me less than 10 minutes (Also tried to vote last week but it was a 2 hour wait, so not sure what the point of early voting is...)

I found it interesting that I had more issues using the voting machines than my wife did and I am an IT guy, they seem to be geared for non-technical people but actually confuse technical people (in my opinion).

We vote at a small precinct -around 900 people. We went to vote at around 9:30 we were in and out in 5 minutes. They did tell us that they had already voted 200 people by9:30. We thought that was a real good turnout.

I live near a small town (5 miles away) in the country.

I early voted Saturday.

The tiny little school house was packed, double lines up and down 4 hallways and back out into the parking lot.

It took 1 hr 15 min to get through the line. The actual voting took me about 4 min.

No line no waiting at 1:30 pm, I just walked in and voted. There was one free "booth" at that time; others were occupied.

My husband went at 8am and he waited 45 min.
The actual ballot took about 5 minutes.

I took part in early voting a couple weeks ago and I went about 1400 on the first opening day and I waited about thirty minutes.

LOL!!! Me, too. Actually, more like 30 second drive...each way.

I waited about 5 minutes in line, took me another 5 or so to vote. Easy as pie!!! Went to Starbucks afterward. :)

Now I have the energy to stay up and watch the election results. :coffee2

Re: How long did it take you to vote?

I had a brilliant idea to be first at the polls at 6am this morning.

Seems everyone else in town had the same idea. I waited 20 minutes!

Re: How long did it take you to vote?

30 seconds in line... 20 seconds to select candidates...

BUT...Then it took me another minute to figure out how to get out of the voting booth!!! LOL!

In years' past, the curtains automatically opened when I hit the "VOTE" button. Not the case today... I had to dig my way out!!! I was getting scared in there!! Thought I was locked in! I was beginning to wonder if they weren't going to let me out unless I changed my selections!!! LOL!

Delaware...
