Going to meet two internet friends tomorrow!
 

Tomorrow I will have the privilege and honor of meeting Coonskinner and his wife. He's preaching a couple hours away and I got a personal invite!

I was informed that the sermon will be on magic hair and jewelry, as CS knows I'm coming.

Anyway, I have a mission...to be the first person to ever get a pic of CS smiling!!! I will be sure and post it here so you all can see that he's not that scary.

Seriously though, I consider CS and LCS to be wonderful people, and I'm honored that they would let me know they are preaching nearby.

In addition, it's LCS's birthday tomorrow. I won't tell how old she is, but she's older than me, and that's all that matters!!!

This evening in the car on the way to the restaurant, I get a call from this wierd number and have ABSOLUTELY no clue who it is. I almost didn't answer it, but decided to anyway, and guess who it was. HO!!!!!

I am very excited about meeting her and hope she has a wonderful time. The Doughty's are AWESOME people and I'm excited about her meeting them as well.

I pray we have an abosolute blow out and the power of God falls all over th place.

As to my birthday, I will be, acutally as of this writing, 40 years old. I am feeling everyone of those years at this moment. I'm up waiting for my can of eagle brand milk to finish boiling, so I can make a caramel pie. It has to boil for 3 hours to make the caramel and then I put it in a graham cracker crust.

It has to boil until 12:30 am and them I'm going to bed.

Can't wait to meet HO tomorrow night. It's going to be a blast.

Mark, I promise not to wear any makeup. I might wear earrings, as I usually wear them anyway, but they aren't the big ones.

I will also not be wearing pants, although I'm not sure if I'm wearing a dress or a skirt.

As for putting my hair in a bun, I'd need extensions to make that happen!!

Is this Darrel & Judy Doughty's church? She used to preach us revivals in Grayville when she was single (Judy Mulvaney, I think). I was just a little girl and a Graham back then. She was awesome.

My favorite memory of Bro. Doughty is one year at IL camp they were making all the boys get haircuts and they made him get his cut too, and he was one of the camp workers. It was hilarious!

Yes, this is their church. My first memory of her is when they came back from Africa and she was involved in the Mother-Daughter banquet at my church. She had on a funny looking (to me at the age of 8 or 9) green dress that was quite shapely. My mom still has a pic of her and our pastor's wife from that day.

BTW, I attended church with PeeWee Frost last week and saw him again on Friday night. I asked if he remembered you and he said no. Of course, a lot of his memory is gone because of the brain aneurysm he had about ten years ago, but I told him of all people to forget, it shouldn't be you! LOL!

Ho, I'm shock!!! Out all people you should know better then to just met someone because they say they are so and so!!! How can you be really sure??? Did you get photo ID's and DNA, etc?????? They are strangers !!!!

Yes, we are at Derold and Judy Mulvaney Doughty's (we call them Mom and Dad Doughty). She is still awesome. She taught at One Voice on Friday and Saturday and did awesome. She taught again this morning in Sunday School class and she was great. Sicker than a dog with this chest stuff that's going around.

Dad is one of the nicest men I have ever had the privilege of knowing and calling my friend and pastor. We are sooooo blessed to have them apart of our life.

HO better get ready for tonight. I have a feeling we are going to have an absolute run away tonight. I have no idea what he is going to be preaching, but I have a feeling it's gonna blow.

Ok, I have freedom here, as CS and LCS are on the road going home. I can do whatever I want!!! LOL!

I got to the church about 5:15. Not many people were there, but I wanted to spot them before they spotted me.

I texted LCS about 5:30 asking if she was there yet, but she didn't answer. I sent her three messages and even called, but she later told me that her phone was left in the office.

I was sitting on the opposite side of the church than they were, and while I spotted CS praying for folks, I couldn't find her in the crowd. There were about 300-400 people there, and I was on the floor instead of the balcony. I was afraid that sitting in the balcony would make me a bigger target for the preaching! LOL!

CS started his sermon by promoting violence in children (he spoke about how good it felt to take out his frustrations on a bully when he was in kindergarten.....LOL!) and likened his story to putting the devil under our feet.

His message was titled "What Will You Become?" and preached about David and Saul and the differences in their anointing and ministries and their end. He spoke a couple things directly to me (sorry, Mark. It wasn't hair, jewelry, or pants!), but CS doesn't even know what it was and had no way of knowing anyway. It was only God that knew what I needed to hear.

After the sermon, people gathered at the altar. I was practically there already from where I was sitting, so I prayed in my seat. The pastor of the church came over after a little while and recognized me (they know my mom) and he left to get LCS. CS then came over, introduced himself and shook my hand. It was very nice meeting him.

LCS came over and sat beside me. Since church was still going on, we prayed with one another and sang. After church, I was invited to eat with them and the other pastors and family. LCS is crazy (in case some of you didn't know this already), so I fit right in....LOL!

I had a blast. I wish it could have lasted a little longer.

Ok. We're home now, and unloaded and about to freeze. (our furnace is broken and we are awaiting the part to arrive.) We'll be ok, I have enough fat and weight to keep us warm enough. haha

Getting to meet HO was an honor and a privilege. Sis. Doughty and I were late to service, I can't remember why, I have sat so long in the van today, that I think I smashed my brains....duhhhhhh anyway, we were late. I looked around and didn't see anyone who looked like her. I knew she said she was tall, so I was looking for a tall lady who looked kinda like her avatar, and never saw one, so I just began to worship and went through service every now and then looking around inconspicuously (sp?) and never saw and then went and prayed at the altar service, see he even preached me into the altar, now that is a man of God!!!!!

I just got finished praying and Dad Doughty came and motioned for me to come over to him, and he said there is a lady here that has come to meet you, and I knew it was HO.

I have to say, she is extremely sweet!!!! She has a gentle spirit, and she is a lot of fun to be with. This is going to be a contiuation of friendship started on line and now we have met in person, it's going to be great.

I wish we could have had more time to visit, but she had a 2 hour drive home and I was soo tired I couldn't hardly sit there, my behind feels like it has been hit by a truck. I have sat more this weekend than I have in a looonnnnnnngggggg time.

Anyway, it was great meeting Joy this weekend and we'll have to do it again soon.

Well, I've established one thing for sure. Joy is a rebel.

I told her what would be proper protocal in this setting and what does she do??? she shows up in a pant suit, hoop earings, cut hair showing, (told her to put it up) and red lip stick.

As for her being tired, she could have fooled me, the way she was laughing nearly the entire time! LOL!

But I agree. Meeting her was a highlight of my life so far, and I'm looking forward to seeing her again.
