Financial Walls Closing In On Church(Randy & Paula White)Monday, November 10, 2008 5:36 AM

TAMPA - The future of Without Walls International Church is in
question now that a credit union wants to foreclose on the
megaministry.

The church defaulted on a $1 million loan due in August, prompting
the California-based Evangelical Christian Credit Union to file
foreclosure proceedings Tuesday.

The filing also includes a $12 million loan made in December 2003,
when Without Walls was looking to expand its ministry headquartered
at 2511 N. Grady Ave. On Thursday, the credit union initiated a
similar foreclosure proceeding involving two additional loans for the
church's branch in Lakeland. The credit union declined to release
details of those loans.

Without Walls issued a statement Thursday that said it has done its
best to meet ministerial goals and financial obligations in the wake
of the economic downturn and adverse publicity.

"Since the lender knew we had a sales contract for the sale of
certain assets that would have covered our obligations to it, the
church was shocked to receive notice of foreclosure. "

Credit union spokesman Jac La Tour said the lender filed for
foreclosure after months of trying to negotiate a more affordable
loan agreement with the church.

An agreement was reached, La Tour said Thursday, but Randy White, the
senior pastor, never signed it.

The $1 million loan should have been paid off in August. When the
church failed to do that, the credit union immediately sought
repayment of the larger loan, due in January, according to the court
filing.

Touted in 2004 by Church Growth Today as the nation's second fastest-
growing Christian congregation, the ministry took in as much as $40
million a year. But it has faced many hurdles in the past couple
years. Among them: an ongoing U.S. Senate inquiry into its finances;
the divorce of cofounders Randy and Paula White; and a dramatic drop
in attendance.

For months, there have been signs of financial struggles at Without
Walls.

Church accountant Camillo Gargano wrote in the Aug. 28 letter that
the ministry was in "turmoil."

Management didn't seem bothered by the financial problems, and
used "bullying, excessive force and verbal abuse as a management
style," Gargano wrote.

The way she is flapping her gumms and arms on TBN.

You would think she could donate 1 million to Benny Hinn or Steve Munsey and the Lord would provide 100 fold.

They are thieves and should be put in jail.

My wish is that someone from the justice department of the US would investigate the entire bunch of thieves....

They are destroying the church....

I agree with Neck on the damage these kind of people are doing to the church community. But I do think that the economic situation will begin to affect churches. People may not have as much money to give to the church or the ministries of the church.

Most drones in these churches will go further in debt.

Because their pastor's teach that prosperity is evidence that the Lord is working his economy in their lives.

It sure is funny how when the church preaches prosperity so goes the world!

The church leaders fall into greed and so goes the world.

So goes the church, so goes the world..

I say the church is leading many into debt and anxiety....

You simply can't say of me that I am bitter...

Because the Lord has blessed me beyond measure...

He will not bless me because I give some popcorn kernal in faith that will pop into a bowl full of popcorn.

He gives to those who show they can administer and handle the increase.....

I think this is a sad day.

Nothing boosts a Christian's faith like watching their church fold. :(

I pray the Lord helps this situation and deals with these folks in a different way.

I honestly don't delight in any ministry or minister folding or failing..........however, what has been sown is apparently being reaped.

True prosperity comes from faithfulness, honesty, a good work ethic and applying Gods principles......not from playing the "Christian Lottery" of sowing a "seed" and thinking that somewhere out of the blue a "miracle" is going to happen regardless of a person's mismanagement of what God has given them. I've seen too much damage come to those who follow this teaching.......with the exception of those who preach it. THEY are the ones who are prosperous.

It has always troubled me that those preach this heresy tell people that the way to prosperity is to give THEM their money. Hmmmmmm......I may have been born at night, but not LAST night! I know who "prospers" from that message. It doesn't take a great revelation to figure it out! :D

My problem is that it only applies to and attracts those who don't have anything. That's why the very affluent are turning to Kaballa, Scientology, weird Eastern religions, Oprah, and stuff like that. This brand of Christianity teaches that what they already possess is the answer that everybody needs. What happens when somebody comes in who already has the cars and houses and land...and are desperate and dead on the inside and looking for a higher way? What must they think when they hear "preachers" preaching about what they already have as if it is the great answer?

Some may disagree, but how I look at it is this: if they're preaching false doctrine, maybe them shutting down is really not such a bad thing.

The divorce announcement was just this past year. They stream their services on the website. You can see some crowd, or lack thereof, shots there.

Christianity in this country is heading toward its genocide, if those two opportunists are representative of Jesus Christ's Body (body with face lift?).

There may be people who are waking up in a burning hell because they followed Randy and Paula White. If the blind follow the blind they will both fall into a ditch. The Ted Haggards, Jimmy Swaggarts, Jim Bakers of the world have infuriated this country's young people. they are turning towards Eastern Religions, and atheism because they have been greatly offended by the Pseudo-American-Churchanity.

God whoops up on His children, but those who cannot be corrected take the beatings like trained professionals. Wasn't God whooping up on Jimmy Swaggart? Was God whooping up on Tedd Haggard? Tedd Haggard made the comment that he was involved in homosexual activity for years. Did God whoop up on Earl Paulk, Robert Tilton, Marjoe Gortner, and A.A. Allen?

Roman Catholic priests, Televangelits, and all the way to the local level, those who are supposed to represent Jesus Christ, fall short and give Bill Maher new material. It's sad, and the Randy and Paula Whites of the World need to give Jesus Christ a break, because it seems His arm must be getting tired with switching those calloused hind ends.

I appreciate you Sister Rhoni, and truly enjoy reading your posts.

There's a lot of truth in there brother.

I think that as many people as these folks may have led toward God, they may have also turned away 10 times as many people away from God.

And this of course, just makes it harder for the rest of us.

I didnt say anything about divorce.
Maybe you're not paying close enough attention here Rhoni. If you look at EB's post I was responding to, you'll see the people he's referring to:

Jimmy Swaggart, Tedd Haggard, Earl Paulk, Robert Tilton, the Roman Catholic priests,
etc.

Divorce is not the issue in the case of those people. That's not even what I was referring to... (and neither was EB, from what I can see).

Still, their misdeeds have done damage to the kingdom of God. That's not "blaming" anyone. That is fact.

I'll stand by my statement. The damage these people have done has made it harder for the rest of us who are looking to win souls for the Lord.

Ay, there's the rub! This is my point Brother, we cannot advocate these misbehaving opportunistic pulpit charlatans. They are not saved, they need to get saved.

It's horrible to think that these money devouring Televangelists portray a Jesus to the world that does more damage than good.
