This is not real news. TF Tenney use to go and do seminars for Wagner and this was back in 2000. He has always believed in crossing lines. He was the one who convinced A. Mangun to bring in Maxwell (the leadership guy).

I am not UPC.
I have not been a member of a UPC church since the early nineteen sixties.
So, what I am saying may not be accurate.

From what I understand, T.F. Tenney is highly respected by many in the UPC but is condemned by some as a compromiser, loose, weak, etc.
T.F. Tenney does not always follow the rules when it comes to where he goes and for whom he preaches.
T.F. Tenney has enough "clout" that he can "flaunt" (maybe that's too extreme a word) the rules and nobody can do anything about it.
T.F. Tenney may be a closet one-stepper and probably believes in the "Light doctrine."

This is not a judgment of the man. I am not condemning him. I am not gossiping about him. He does not have to answer to me. To his own Master he stands or falls and he will stand because his Master is well able to hold him up. As an outsider to the UPC, these are impressions I have picked up and I could very well be wrong on one or all of them.

Bishop Phillips had very kinds things to say about both Bishop and Sis. Tenney as did they in return...

He hasn't preached for Phillips in almost 40 years...

Personally, I've never been a Tommy Tenney fan. I don't find his books to be all that deep, but he is a fairly good preacher I suppose. Not on par with his Dad, though!

I would expect his parents to support him. He is their son, after all.

Only if I could preach the fullness of the doctrine, repentance, baptism in Jesus name, the infilling of the Holy ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues, and living a holy life. If I could do that then yes i would, but I would not go and preach and tip toe around.

I have always known Bishop Tenney to preach full truth.....

I'm just the opposite. I would rather read the books, even though they're not deep, than to hear him live. The few times I have heard him preach, I feel like I'm listening to a book on CD.

I would not support a child of mine if they were in false doctrine. I would love them but in no way support their so called ministry.

I know his kids and to my knowledge all of them have been baptized in Jesus Name and received the Holy Spirit.

He could preach that and more there and in most independent Oneness churches, he could preach that in my church.

The Tenneys and Phillips have been friends for at least fifty years. Why shouldn't he preach for an old friend?

I'm sure he said something to the people that they needed to hear.
