I am cooking this Thanksgiving for the first time in 30 years of marriage! My folks will be in Indiana and Eddie's mom is recovering from shoulder surgery, so it's up to me. There will be only eight people and it will be at my house. I'm excited about hosting it! I bought a fall tablecloth and napkins at Tuesday Morning last week. I also have a big cornucopia for a centerpiece that I got 90% off last year after the holidays.

We will be leaving for Sand Mountain saturday morning. Thanksgiving is one of the very few reunions we have left that some of the family will make an effort to join in together. I sure miss the old fashion reunions with lots of family, food and fun.

The kids are on the every other year plan - this year it's Thanksgiving with me and Christmas with their inlaws. We will be together and have our Christmas the weekend before Christmas. It just works easier for them this way.

We are having it in St. Louis at my daughter's instead of my house because the Craig side of the family wants to do a big family photo and everyone will be there Thanksgiving weekend to make it happen. It was easy to move our Thanksgiving to my daughter to enable them to be able to do this.

Their Craig grandmother is not doing too well (cancer) and the urgency to have a family photo became priority.

It will just be strange that I won't be in the picture - lol!
