Shame On You Christians..gays riot

Hundreds of homosexual activists rushed out of bars and swarmed a group of Christians who were singing songs in San Francisco's Castro District – and some even threatened to kill the worshippers

A group of men approached the Christians and covered them with a large cloth, backing them into a corner. Then the angry mob began swearing and growing larger. The bars began emptying out, and a crowd completely surrounded the Christians.

"They started saying, 'We're going to kill you,'" she said. "They started taking our pictures and saying, 'We're going to kill you. We know who you are."

Just then, a squad of police officers arrived in riot gear, surrounding the Christians and forming a protective human wall.

She said the police told them, "You have to leave if you want to make it out."

When the group continued praying, an officer came back and said, "You don't have a choice anymore. We're going to escort you out."

The officers then took the Christians to their cars. The angry mob began lunging at them through the riot gear and chanting "Shame on you!"

And what are the "Christians" going to say when they find out the
"Christians" are doing the same things they are but are hiding behind
a woman/wife to do it!!!
And what's going to happen when the husband gets a fixation for that
type of "sex" and are no longer able to perform as GOD made man to
perform!! Better think about these things before you become "imp---t"
as far as being able to "use the natural use of the woman".

Far too often we take the things that God made for good and turn them
into something else. God save us from ourselves, in Jesus Name!

It's interesting that you would point the finger at the Christians, rather than toward the violent "gay activists" who are threatening and intimidating them.

It probably wasnt smart for them to go there like they did, but they didnt deserve to get their lives threatened either.

(And the article does not describe them as Mormons, by the way)

Uh,,,,what does that have to do with Christians being attacked by a band of gays? They were there singing and praying, they did not preach to anyone. Where in the US do large groups of Christians chase gays down the street and attack them?!?!?! I find your post just absolutly absurd.

Where does it say they were mormons? They weren't mormons. They were not in a "gay neighborhood"...they were in a place they often go to pray and sing songs and pray for anyone that wants to...and they did pray for some. Peaceful? They were threatened with their very lives. That is not peaceful. The only thing that kept the rioting gays from physically harming them were the police....just incredible that you call that peaceful.

Does it say that they did not have a permit? And is that supposed to justify what happened? This is insane guys...I am saddened by some of the "well they deserve what they got" but people saying they are christiams

HaHa. I didn't say that they deserved anything. What happened is really sad. It's only the beginning.

I was in the city a few weeks ago (SF) and was driving up market and mission. I just shook my head and thought " there is little hope for this place unless some kind of miracle happens.

I don't think anyone should even attempt to go to SF unless you are like the prophet Jeremiah and on an direct assignment from God.

We got a group of Christians being attacked and threatened for their lives, chased down the street and being essentially called evil....it's amazing and sad for me to see people post in that way.

This is not about individual christians being hypocrites. Do we get the implications of this or are we just going to implode on ourselves?

This reminds me of the "frog in the kettle" syndrome... I think by the time many Christians start to realize what's happening, the water will be already approaching the boiling point.

(But I do think you might have been a bit harsh toward Sis. Falla, though.)

This qualifies as mild persecution. I agree, you should expect to get burned. But the Christians did NOTHING wrong, (from what I could see), and there is nothing in the article that points to them being Mormon that I can see, not that it matters.

I'm surprised that you didn't defend them, since they obviously weren't Apostolic/UPCI Christians. :D

I think Sis. Falla was just posting her thoughts--not really addressing the video. But really, what can be done? Christians can't take action against such people, so how does the "frog in the kettle" syndrome even relate? We can't exactly jump out of this kettle, even if it does start heating up.

Is this TIC? I wouldn't ask permission of anyone to pray anywhere, if I felt the need. No Christian should. When I pray, it's between me and God, even if its on a street corner.

The article says they were praying in a "gay" district.

Quote:

A group of Christians had been singing and praying in the "gay" district for several days, but they never expected an angry mob would run them out. However, that's what happened Friday night.
Why do Christians have to do that? Their prayers are just as effective at church or in a cell group setting. It's an "in your face" type deal just like picketing an abortion clinic.

I have never agreed with these methods and would never participate in such. They were asking for trouble with this group of people. As you have seen and already knew - they can become quite violent.

Hopefully, someday, we will learn there is power in prayer and we don't have to use "demonstration" to prove that God is on the throne.

That is my :2cents

The "frog in the kettle" reference has to do with the fact that I believe many Christians are understimating the nefarious agenda of the demonic radical HomoNazi movement, and the implications it could have for the church down the line as these people 1... become more and more physically confrontational with Christians, and 2... try to use the power of the law to further their persecution of, and hostility toward, the Church.

I believe confrontations like the ones we see on that video may just be the tip of the iceberg.

For sure, I wouldn't pick certain places to pray, unless God led me to do it. Sometimes people have good motives, without the power to back them up.

They say Mormons/ Christians on the tape! I wonder if the word Mormons had been used in the article if this would even be an issues on here. Sense most don't deem Mormons as Christians anyway!

A group of people meeting in/near the street for whatever purpose requires a permit per most municipal codes.

There is a video on You Tube called Elijah-Jezebel showdown with Lou Engle and a young girl that took part in this prayer/praise time in SF. Her testimony is quite different than what you're hearing from the media. I will see if I can attach it, but if not, maybe someone else can pull it up and put it on here.

Obviously I don't know how to attach a video. Can someone else look it up?
