Jason Upton?
 

Anyone heard of Jason Upton? I just found out about him this weekend. He has several albums of "prophetic music". He sounds alot like Keith Green to me. What have you heard? What is your opinion about his music or ministry. He has many videos on youtube if anyone is interested.

so what is prophetic about his music or songs? I can not say that from the songs I have heard that I care much for him. Maybe if I was not watching him, since he looks pretty nasty, I would feel differently.

He looks like he needs a bath and to comb his hair, maybe even trim up his beard.

Jason Upton was at our church several years ago. It was an awesome night of worship. He is a gifted young man IMO. There is a special annointing on his music. His music is powerful I believe. Judging people by their appearance is just so not Christ like IMO.

In some of his songs, he sings as if his words were the voice of God. Very powerful. I haven't heard anyone like him besides Keith Green. I have 2 of his cds. Awesome.

I agree his looks are awful, but I have listened to his cds and not seen very much of him. Open up the earth and 1200 feet below.

I only said maybe. Also it could be that because I did not feel anything when I listened I did not like him. (in reality I do not know him so I can not like or dislike him)

judging by looks is not usually a wise thing to do I agree. that being said I still think I would rather listen to someone who looks like they at least took a bath and combed their hair. and that is my just opinion.

We really like JU, he has an unique anointing on his life.

Jason is a unique guy, abandoned by his Father, raised by a single mother, has a Masters Degree from Regent, passionate about God, loves Worship. I like him. He is cut from a different mold and his style is all his own.

I love Jason Upton's sound and anointing! I think he's led worship at some of the camps our kids have gone to.

I agree. I saw him in concert a couple of years ago and even though I'm not much into Christian music I did appreciate his ministry. I figured he was educated since he quoted Kierkegaard once or twice. Seemed like a smart guy.

I had downloaded a bunch of his songs off of limewire.

However, when listening to one of his songs, I heard some really, really bad doctrine. I then decided to delete all of his music.

I am not a fan of this guy and for all who are, beware. I never say things like this, but I feel quite strongly about not listening to his music.


There is a song where he pictures Jesus Christ "hiding behind His Father" and in his song he actually pictures Jesus saying to the devil, "Na-nah, na-nah you can't get me!" Or something really close to this. It was not only really stupid, but it was very bad doctrine.

This was on a "live" recording of Jason Upton.


I listened to the song repeatedly. I could have misunderstood his real massage in that song, but I am quite sure I did not make a mistake on this.

For those who listen to his music, please be aware of what you're listening to.
